ParticipantHi Guys,
A family member of mine has a Bosch Condenser Tumble Dryer and the the tank fills but doesnt stop when its full.
I’m guessing its some kind of sensor but I havent had a look for them yet, and was wondering if anyone has had experience of this? Thanks in Advance.

Apologies I have since found out that it is a Siemens and not a Bosch.
My mistake as I could have sworn it was a Bosch, but the number is WT46E381GBFebruary 12, 2021 at 9:43 pm #475087electrofix
Moderatorto be honest they are the same dryer anyway so no real problems
yours is the older one with the float on the pump
its mounted left hand side rear at the bottom. you have to remove left side to access which is a bit tricky as front control panel has to come off to get all the screws
you will find its gummed up and needs cleaning

Thanks Dave.
Doesn’t sound too bad to be honest.
Will it just need cleaning?
Is there any situation where it will need replacing?

Moderatortheres always an exception but its unlikely, the float is probably just stuck down with goo and soggy lint

Hi Dave,
Apologies for the late reply.
I’ve only just got it in front of me.
I’ve attached a pic (which I can’t actually seem to upload) – could you point me in the right direction as to where I can find this part in your pic? And some guidance how to access it if it’s not too much trouble? Thanks in advance.

ParticipantI actually think the pump you were talking about Dave is accessible from the back of the machine.
I’ve found a little cover and then what appears to be a pump module behind it.
I’ll take another pic shortly.
But I’ve had a brief look and it looks relatively clean in all honesty, but I might not be looking in the right place for the lint.
But I’ll post a pic up.March 16, 2021 at 5:31 pm #475094Watson306

There’s two probes into the tank below from those.
I can’t really see any lint or dirt tho.March 16, 2021 at 11:27 pm #475097electrofix

I’ve checked the pink wires back to the control panel and there is resistance on both wires.
