    Hi guys.

How does this dishwasher determine water level?.

I`ve got one that overfills and sets off the anti-flood but I can`t see how it gauges the level.

    Thanks.

    Chris.

To go off topic a tad, Bosch suggest changing PCB and float assembly to combat this fault.

Some of the very latest types use a flow sensor, much like ones fitted to the washers.
Oh, and they do sometimes fail.

How does a flow sensor actually work. Does it have a rotating impellor and actually measure the quantity of water passing?

    Pretty much Bob yes.

They are similar to motor tacho’s and generate a frequency as water passes and spins a rotor.

I think Bosch call them ‘Impellor Jugs’ for some reason?

I have never seen a washer with a flow meter? 😕 Where would it be situated and how do they sense the water level when the clothes soak up the water?
