ParticipantOn low income an friend gave me this 18 month old Bosch slimline dishwasher. he had to fit a new control module but could not get the machine to work correctly afterwards. I called out a local service guy who says the problem is that the set up codes have not been entered correctly and that it is a 3 – 5 minute job. However he did not have the codes and says that Bosch will not issue them unless one uses there expensive call out service. Any ideas or better still does any body have the codes 😆

Robmac,
Have you got the model number correct? As the Bosch website does not recognise the number?Would it actually be SRS46A02GB/13????

Robmac,
I have been in touch with Bosch, the setup codes should have been included WITH the Control Module they supplied???
Bosch are sending me the missing instruction sheet and if you email me directly then I can send you a copy of the set-up procedure 😉

Martin you are a star, when I suggested to yesterdays repair man that we try to contact Bosch he said they would not entertain it. E mail on way 😛 Rob

First of huge thank you to Martin (mega star) for getting me the module codes, you know the one my local repair man said Bosch would never part with. Off with the front panel, follow the simple set up instructions and all was well. So feeling very pleased with myself I ran a wash load. Pre wash fine main wash fine, well wait a minute, its taking a long time. The reason the pump stopped pumping out. When it reaches the point when it should do its thing a slight hum is all that is heard. Perhaps the DW and I should head for Beachy Head 😥

Ok dont want to polute the coastline. Behind the front bottom front plate is a hole with a large arrow around it which I assume is to try to free the pump motor. If that fails I shall go back to nursing and call out a repair man. Any recomendations for the brighton area, BN2 1DF.
By the way Martin I am a pschiatric nurse, so when the machines get to you, I will come and sort you out to return your kindness. Rob

ParticipantRob,
Drain out as much water as you can. Remove lower basket, rotor and filters. At the 10 o’clock position in the sump there is a cover plate, retained by a single Torx headed screw. The drain pump impellor is below this cover, so any detritus can be removed.Pull the plug first!

Thanks Pen but there are 6 screw holding the bottom plate on, and I still am nable to remove it since I canot see hoe you remove the salt container which seems to be holding it all in? rob

ParticipantNO, no, no! The 6 screws retain the entire sump assembly – do not mess with. The little cover is about an inch square, IN the sump at 10 o’clock, in the bottom.

Sorry Pen there is no little square in the bottom, all there is , is a hole for the water to pass through. I took all the water out and had a good look, and the only screws are the ones at the top. Its a slim line dishwasher, so perhaps you are thinking of a full size one. I think I need to get someone in, since I am probably a bettter nurse than a dishwasher repairer 🙄 Just need to find someone who is ok in the Brighton BN2 area, any ideas. Thanks again, Rob

Robert,
Just get a local guy in as I said in my email. slimline dishwashers are tricky to mess with 🙁 But I am sure it simply something caught in the drain pump.) And NO the arrow you see on the bottom panel is for raising and lowering the rear adjusting feet (only on some models though) and not pump access I’m afraid. It’s more complicated than that!
Just get a guy in to tweak the pump and away it will go I’m sure 🙂

Thanks Martin, yep given up, got a rather nice sounding person calling in tomorrow. £37.50 an hour so not too bad. The last lot of dishes were a fish meal so it may be a bone. Will keep you posted. Thanks again for all your help, your a great guy. Rob

ParticipantRob,
Sorry about that – sent you on a wild goose chase. The slimline has a sealed sump, so access is from underneath. Very sorry! If your chap coming tomorrow is not a UKW member – tell him to sign up!
Good luck,
