After watching that video, its spins fine and isn’t violent on spin, just the banging really.
Personally I would unplug and take lid off and look to see if the pressure switch unit hasn’t become detached or drain pump hasnt broken off its mounts in transit, failing that have a good look and see if you can see anything that is hanging off that is resting on tank outer 😕Greg

Participant^^ What Gegsy says. Sounds like a two-stroke with a really bad idle…

Without doubt it is a loose front concrete counterweight (large clamp band needs relocating and tightening – job for Bosch engineer) 😉

well i never after taking gegsy’s advice and taking the lid off i discovered a extra bottom half soap tray resting ontop of the outer drum as you can see from the pics
Where i found the tray which when i moved the drum produced the same knock

Tray removed ive checked all the wiring around for any signs of damage and it seems ok
Thankyou for all your advice everyone i really appreciate it, im now a very happy owner of a bosch machine which to me apart from the plastic outter tub looks very well built compared the the shitty servis we had beforeRegards Couger

Well I never 😯 Not seen that before 😆 you can either keep as a spare or bang it on ebay 😉
Glad you all sorted and have many years of trouble free service.
Remember you have a 2 year parts and labour cover with Bosch 8)Greg

these bosch sound great loose top concrete weights loose front concrete weights if i read the post correctly the machine was delivered on thursday then noisy on saturday one for the oldies page.
yes it was a simple repair but i am sure you guys doing i.g. work dont take kindly to people mucking about with a brand new machine.
i remember going to a week old indesitwhich wouldnt empty, the pump was going the filter was clear there was no blockage in the drain hose.
the customer had spoke to someone he had taken the sump hose off the filter end and the drain hose off the filter end and how he managed it i dont know but he managed to put them back in the wrong place.
the pump was pumping the water up the sump hose into the machine.May 20, 2007 at 1:49 pm #214226nomadPaul

I’ve a feeling that it was the WAA models that had this problem –May 20, 2007 at 3:10 pm #214227gegsy

I remember reading a thread where people were reminising about the good old days, purple glass Hotpoints, Hoover automatics with no soap drawers, machines lasting for years. Somebody had posted that they went to an Indesit WIDL, which had lasted a good coulple of weeks until it bit the dust, a small bit of sarcasm, a small bit of humour unfortunately sadly lacking in some posts.
Sorry if i have touched a raw nerve but no offence was intended whatsoever.May 21, 2007 at 2:52 pm #214229Trilobite

Mr Suedehead…
Do you think that you could use proper punctuation and grammatical rules, when you type? It is very difficult to read one long-winded sentence, which has neither capital letters or periods; let alone commas.

I’m sure you mean well Trilobite, but please avoid comments about spelling, grammar etc. within forums and chat rooms. It can offend and I’m sure that was not your intention in the slightest. We have to accept whatever input anyone gives in whatever way they wish to express it. We are all different and tolerance is a great virtue. 😉

Thanks for your comments, but it had to be said. Sloppy writing really grates with me.
Failing to use punctuation can lead to a totally different meaning being understood, as opposed to the intended meaning.
Spelling, I can understand. It is easy to make a spelling mistake; even I’m not perfect! However, there is no excuse for sloppy composition.

I will respectfully suggest then that in future you accept the situation without comment please, excuse or not. 🙂
