Point made Trilobite but many people are not so eloquent with writing and neither you or I have any idea of any problems that a poster may have, such as dyslexia or any other issue along those lines. Another reason could simply be a lack of practice and/or of reading.
Many people simply don’t adhere to good grammatical writing or netiquitte and that’s just life.
With that in mind the stance that has been adopted from day one on UKW is that we do not comment on spelling, grammar or punctuation other than when the message cannot be understood or the odd good natured jibe, like when I do my “Teh”‘s etc. for which I get endless grief. 😉
I prefer to attempt to lead by example and refrain from commenting on other’s abilities or lack of them and I don’t feel that anyone is in a position to lecture on that particular subject in these forums.

I remember reading a thread where people were reminising about the good old days, purple glass Hotpoints, Hoover automatics with no soap drawers, machines lasting for years. Somebody had posted that they went to an Indesit WIDL, which had lasted a good coulple of weeks until it bit the dust, a small bit of sarcasm, a small bit of humour unfortunately sadly lacking in some posts.
Sorry if i have touched a raw nerve but no offence was intended whatsoever.
I have tried again is this better netiquitte.

😆
That wasn’t directed at anyone in particular at all Suedehead, certainly not at you so I hope you didn’t take offence and, it’s very hard to get me to take offence to pretty much anything as many on here will testify.
I can take a bit of a ribbing, just be warned I can dish it out too. 😉

I dont take offence at anything either. I do like a bit of a laugh, grammar has never been my strong point.
What I really hate is when customers send me text messages.
No punctuation, and abbreviations which I dont understand. To me GR8 is a model number, lol is either lots of love or laugh out loud or probably neither.
Any criticsm welcomed and usually ignored.
This would appear to be my 150th post i dont have post some rubbish.lol
