Connecting lead from motor to module probably has broken at the motor end? If so order and fit new lead is the favourite option rather than trying to reconnect.

Thanks Martin for your reply
Could someone please inform me should the spin selection knob spin round freely or should it click around to select the spin speeds thanks

It does click from one setting to another though if there is no motor action whatsoever that control has no bearing on the problem.

Ok Martin thanks it does not click it just spins around does it just pull off or does it have to be released from the back of the back of the control panel

release from rear
if you select off position do the light go out ?
trying to see if its snapped or not. losing the click is not a big problem as long as its selecting correct programmes

I think he is talking just about the spin knob not the programme selector…

Ignore the spin control Fase, that is not the problem here, honest. It has fuff all to do with the motor not turning. 😉

if you select a spin prog what happens
I expect pump to run for a while then if you listen to the panel relays will click to start motor
does this happen and motor fails

well if it was a motor or wiring prob of any kind relays would still click#
they can be hard to hear I sometimes have to put my ear to the panel to hear them or you could disconnect pump to silence it
if no click sounds like a board prob
assume you have checked motor tacho for continuity

Thanks Dave for your reply if the relay is not switching what is the most likely components on the PCB to have stopped working other that domed capactors to effect both wash and spin .
I have come across Bosch motors with burnt out brushes that have damaged the PCB thanks fasetester

no one have any information what to check on the pcb for no motor on wash or spin is there any components that is known to causing this fault that i can test if nothing looks damaged would i be right in thinking that if there was no power coming in to the board the machine would be dead thanks fasetester
