Keymasteri just bought a new dishwasher, unfortunately after the 2 and a half hour eco cycle leaving an extra 15 minutes on top after it has finished the back of the dishwasher is wet, there is a little water on the dishes, water on the bottom of the cuttlery tray, and the top rack.
is it broken? the rinse aid is full, and set to the bosch factory default. without rinse aid everything is totally wet
surely this isnt right? should i call bosch? the whole reason for throwing out my 20 year old working bendix was it wasnt drying, but neither is this?

Have you set the salt regulator (softener setting) correctly?

yes indeed i have, i have set it to no salt needed as water is soft here. im beginning to think i shouldnt have bought this and stuck with the old reliable workhorse.
the 30 minute quick wash, it drys as well as the 2 and a half hour eco, even though it says in the manual there is no drying on the 30 minute quick wash. and i hear no fan spinning on the end of the 2 and a half hour wash, it spends the last 20 minutes of this cycle doing nothing. i can hear no fan spinning to dry anything. should i call bosch i have taken some pictures of the inside of it. so i can email bosch these i suppose.

I would suggest you get Bosch to call by and check it out for you. They will carry out certain functional checks on it for you and advise directly their findings and conclusions 😀
Even in soft water areas it is sometimes beneficial to charge the salt container with salt and set it on a low dosage. Also if your crocks are coming out with water droplets on them you may need to increase the dosage slightly. If they then come out cloudy, then you need to decrease the dosage slightly. The back of the tank can often have water droplets on it however, especially this time of year when the ambient temperature is that much lower.

Crikey! How very unfortunate for both of you. 🙁 Anyway I hope your dishwasher performs OK now (I wonder why he changed the Module though :con:)

had porch repaired today cost 220euro or 140 pounds not too bad really, will send bosch the bill lets hope they pay! as didnt hear anything from boss yesterday.
anyway havent run dishwasher, mayb he changed the module as it wasnt activating drying cycle?
can i ask does anyone know what this machine particular model does on the drying cycle, does it have a fan or does the element at the bottom dry them or how does it dry apart from the hot water final rinse, thanks

It dries by heating up the water on the last rinse, adding the rinse aid and then draining. The condensation on the rear panel is not unusual. Is the rinse level going down as the appliance is used ? How are the normal (non eco) washes? You should have no problem getting your money back for the glass. It can be a struggle at times to fit through door ways carrying a tool case and a laptop. 😳 Where do you live, Ireland ? (euro ref) 🙂

hi BSH-MAN thanks for your reply, he wasnt actually carrying the laptop or toolbox as he had already brought them into the house and left them in the kitchen, he was walking out to the car to get the module, after he decided it needed one, he just walked thru the wrong non sliding side of the porch 😳 never mind no real harm done.
the non eco washes- well there s the quick 30, minute one, the economy one and 65degree one. to tell u the truth i havent run the 65 degree wash yet, i shall do so today and report back tonight or tomorrow what happens.
so this model has no fan? i understand that would explain why it makes no noise after 1 hour and 50 minutes and after a further 20 minutes the led goes from active to finished. so its doing nothing in this time? does this mean it is the same as leaving the 30minute quick wash for 20 minutes to dry without opening?the rinse level- do u mean whether the rinse aid is going down? i cant really say but i would definately think it is as without rinse aid in the reservoir everything is really wet but with it it gives the picture in the post above, condensation at the back loads of wetnes on the racks but not really any wetness on the dishes. the underside of the cuttlery tray is really really wet with rinse aid but the cuttlery in it is dry.
maybe im a bit fussy but my last dishwasher dryed everything until recently that was the reason to change it, thanks and ill report back on the 65degree wash tomorrow. 🙂

Off the top of my head, some of these models have an electronic adjustment as stated in instruction booklet to adjust length of drying cycle.
BSHman could probably help me out hereGreg 🙂
