The cheapest may look tempting but not always so :lesson:
I have had no outage with BT granted speed varies with contention, but nothing below 1.3mb/s and vary rare to deviate from around 1.9mb/s

    Re: broadband

I use Tiscali 2meg + unlimited phone calls for £22 / month and find it OK. It used to drop the connection but since i have installed a wireless IDSL router it works faultlessly. I have three machines on my network all having simultanious internet access with no probs. On a site with a good fast ftp server download speed is around 231 MB/s.

There have been some problems with Tiscali, i suspect that maybe they have been upgrading /installing new equipment but it seems fine now.

    Re: broadband

i have used nildram for a few years now, the 2 outages i have had have been down to an exchange fault, which is down to bt. Not the cheapest but reliable and good speeds + you can have static ip and blocks of ip’s which most dont offer, but not everyone wants this anyway. http://www.adslguide.org.uk/ is a good resource for finding an isp that gives you what you are looking for.
