ModeratorWe all get them, I feel as though I have grafted all day for nothing. 😥
Well I did clear a blocked pressure chamber on a 19 year old 9500 series. The rest of the day has been spent looking at our pasta munching friends finest production. 😥 😥Whirpool AWM 337/3
Serial No 419913024606
Complaint, won’t fill properly and programme not working.
Set it to a wash programme and it filled and did a wash action. Tried to reset and could not get it to perform correctly, holding the Start button for 15/20 seconds had no effect, then after few minutes, without touching it the timer decided to crawl forward a few impluses then stop again. Managed to get it to drain but not spin. Then it started to fill in very short, rapid pulses. Fill valves, pressure switch and chamber all OK. Start switch fine. Strongly suspect the control unit, any observations on this and if the control unit is U/S how much?

Main bearings shot.
Is it worth trying to fix this poly drum bearing, what is the success rate at removing the bearings from the rear drum half etc. Looks like an A*$e of a job. 🙂Necht WQ12-6015 Dishwasher ( the one at a friends apartment )
Complaint, will not empty fully.
As soon as I looked at this I realised it was an Indesit clone. 😥 Drain pump and hoses all clear. Set it to Prewash and it filled ( no initial drain ?) washed for around 5 minutes then drained out perfectly. She mentioned that she had noticed some lights flashing the last time she tried it but couldn’t remember which ones. Set it to Normal wash, it drained, filled then washed for a few minutes ( possible prewash ?) then started to drain. It only drained for about 3 or 4 seconds then stopped with the machine half full of water, a bleeping noise and lights 1 & 2 flashing. On the Hotpoint/Indesit this is a drain timeout but this machine drained fine on the prewash and went into error after only a few seconds of drain on the normal wash. By switching off at the mains opening and closing the door, I was able to get it to drain out but I could not cancel the two flashing lights despite trying all combinations of On/Off…Start & Prog buttons, switching off at the mains for a few minutes etc. If this is a control module fault, does anyone know if any of the Hotpoint/Indesit modules will fit this machine, the chances of getting one from Maple kitchens is very unlikely.October 3, 2005 at 4:20 pm #149149Dave_Conway

The base plate and float is almost identical to the latest Hotpoint/ Indesit dishwasher, the Plaset pump and the main motor are the same and are in identical positions, the filter assy is the same although the heater is in the tub and not in that stupid tube, are they using Indesit parts in the Haier or is the latest Hotpoint/Indesit more Haier than we realise, is this a still a Haier ?
I may have to do a Monty Python on this Necht and become one of the Knights who say “Nicht” 😆October 3, 2005 at 5:06 pm #149151iadom

Dave.
Would the carbons cause it to stick even when the start button was depressed for 20 or 30 seconds, it should reset after holding down for 5 seconds?October 3, 2005 at 5:59 pm #149152EFS
ParticipantRe: Days like these.
Faulty carbons would not stop the timer from resetting on this whirlpool machine.
Have you tried the test cycle?
If you don’t know how to do it the instructions come in the box with the new timer.
I just checked my van and I haven’t got one but someone else may be able to assist.
From past experience though I would say the timer was duff as I have changed dozens of them.Steve

Is there a complete bearing kit available or do I need to order separately, also is it advisable to order the tub gasket, I can see it on TDS but cannot see a part number for item 130?October 3, 2005 at 9:49 pm #149154Dave_Conway
ParticipantRe: Days like these.
Tub seal part number 1240159036, definitely to be replaced 🙂
Bearing kit, is either BRG94207 (Connect), ZN0507 (Masterpart), BKIT08 (Qualtex) etc.
Dave.

Re zan FL1085 I usually replace the spider and bearings on this machine.
Spider UNT19 Bearings BKT08 QUALTEX.I usually find that the Brushes will probably need replacing,if they have not been replaced previously.
Worth checking before you do the bearings as the total repair may not be cost effective.

I may have to do a Monty Python on this Necht and become one of the Knights who say “Nicht” 😆Yes it is I’m afraid. It’s a bad rip off of (IMO) a poor design in the first place, I think Indesit sold it to Haeir and the muppets bought it then built it. Badly. 😕
Presently these things are the bane of my life, I despise them passionately, as do two engineers and one admin staff I can point at. Both engineers are on the verge of refusing to go to them as they’re boomerangs, in fact they’re more reliable in that sense than a boomerang, as they always seem to come back. 🙁
Leaks, bangs, multiple failures, stats, seals, motors… you name it, we’ve had it. Everytime the word “recall” and one of these are mentioned in the same sentence we start rolling about laughing now.
But then, for under £50 delivered into the UK, what do you expect?

So, its a bit like Fiat selling the 124 data and old tooling to Russia who then came up with the LADA. 🙂 The poors souls who imported them had to virtually rebuild most of them before they hit the road.
