    Hi,
Hi, our dishwasher a Eurolec DW004, first started to make random bleeping noise. Then it would not respond to any prog button. After many trys, a prog was selected and ran o.k. Now the machine does not respond to any button on the control pad, but all of the leds are on. Power down and back on had no effect. Help please, or I may have to do the washing up myself!

    Re: Eurolec DW004

I can’t think who actually makes Eurolec dishwashers, as they will be a rebadged appliance from one of the “better known” names.

Are there any other numbers you can let me have from the rating plate which should be around the door somewhere.

    In the meantime….

    😆

    Dave.

Eurolec is a brand name handled by AIS and all I’ve seen are Fagor in sunglasses and they have a predoliction for blowing the main board. 🙁

On the upside the PCB isn’t that badly priced.

eurolec is the brand name for waterline, crusina, its basicly a fagor vfu651 and it will be the pcb at fault.

    Nessy,
Bear in mind that the comments made so far are based on the experience of the engineers who put their time into the site. None of us has actually seen the appliance, so while we SUGGEST that the computer is at fault, there is no guarantee that this is so.

The board WILL be an expensive component, and will not be returnable to the supplier under any circumstances, so if we have an incorrect diagnosis, you could be making an expensive mistake.

Short of obvious dry joints and the like, the board cannot be tested, so an appliance engineer attending would basically have to test every component and circuit around the appliance. If it ALL checks out, the only candidate left will be the computer board.

Unless you feel confident to do this, you are guessing and it could be expensive! My advice if this is not the case is to pop your postcode up and see if there is a local UKW engineer in your area.

Whatever you do, pull the plug first.

    Regards,
    Penguin45.

    Thanks Penguin,

I do feel o.k around industrial stuff, logic, embeded microprocessors and the like, indeed this was all I did to pay the mortgage until a couple of years ago. I’ve never had the motivation to look at a dishwasher before but have always managed to fix the washing machine.

I’m surprised how difficult it’s proving to find out information for this offending machine and do appreciate you efforts to help.

Do you have an idea how expensive is the card for the dw004 please,or where may be the best place to source it? I have been lokking on the net,but perhaps not in the correct place!
Should I cut the losses and junk the dishwasher do you think?
    Thanks

Yes Bryan, but not in the domestic appliance field. Service manager for an international company in the printing industry until a couple of years ago.

Hang fire ’til Monday, Dave will probably be able to either source it or point you in the right direction.

    V54E000F4 – PCB/Programmer – £79.00 excl VAT & Carriage. Bear in mind most of the DW PCB’s are easily £100+ + + 😕

Nil stock at present, more due soon.

Didn’t have to dig back through many invoices to get that information. 😉
