I did not get a confirmation in September or for Feb 2016.
The room was reserved for me when I attended the September meeting so it should be ok.
Great venue and good food.
See you there

I’d still insist on confirmation Peter. I remember the day Chris Chantrell (akaPenguin45) had to leg it back home when there were ‘no rooms at the inn’…..Jesus, Mary and Joseph he wasn’t too chuffed let me tell you!

To allay any fears that you would have to sleep in your van Pete we will get you confirmation.

Hi Lawrence
I e-mailed them a few weeks back but did not get a reply.
Could you get them to send me confirmation as well.
I asked them if I could have the same room as last time.
Cheers
Bob

If only I could afford the time off Lawrence, but thanks for the offer anyway. 😀

We’ve started to build the foundations of some of what we’ll be talking about and so on. As ever I will be very deliberately evasive on the details for reasons explained oh so often before.
Obviously the big recall thing will get a mention.
The state of the repair side of things, may touch on spares and how we see it going forward.
We will wander from repairs however and into other areas surrounding that and, it will include info from other markets, not just the UK.
And again, as usual, I will ask that if there is any specific topic that anyone wants to be highlighted, looked at or whatever, to let myself or Lawrence know as soon as you can so that if it’s possible we can build it in.

Win a new set of test equipment and, this isn’t the only give away that will be available on the day.

By way of an update and, we were not allowed to pre-publicise this one…
Alice Beer from ITV’s This Morning was at the meeting talking about the Hotpoint recall among others and looking for opinion and comment from the engineers.
There was a lively section where Alice was talking from the floor with some interesting takes and points being made.
After that there was a good bit of filming that went on where Alice was interviewing engineers anonymously.
Some of this may be be broadcast on this weeks This Morning although presently we do not have the detail of when, if it will be or any more than this.
Other than this all seemed to find it interesting, informative and a really good day and I do hope that was the case for all.
