Yeah, period of adjustment as is the norm when things get altered.
It is a lot brighter and, I think, cleaner and more modern in terms of looks.
However it brings a number of advantages.
The first big one is that it allows more a modular approach to many things behind the scenes, improves security and fixes a few known bugs. The big one there being Tapatalk that was creating a problem that affected the performance so, it had to be done anyway.
It’s also going to take a bit of time for me to adjust all the stuff on here as, there’s a ton of things that now need to be updated or refreshed when I get to them.

A bit of a mish mash on the iPad when you click on ‘post a reply’ The smilies are superimposed over the top of part of the side menu. 🙁

That’ll be a CSS thing no doubt, don’t know what can be done about it but I’ll ask Sudeep to have a look.

Looks great on my new Lumia 950XL though. Smilie menu is showing above post box on that.

Uhm, yeah… the images aren’t working as yet Jim, we are aware of that one and that should be sorted today at some stage.

Is the little ‘bookmark’ symbol the old ‘online’ notification?

Okay, bunch of stuff sorted but still a ways to go. 😕
I’ve removed the moderator listings tonight as, it just looked ugly. I first thought that the mods should have the default avatar changed for the group but then thought, what’s the point really? Shows as site admin or moderator anyway.
Ads and sponsor things all sorted bar one I need to do in the office. All are now dynamic and change size depending on the screen, mobile/tablet friendly basically. Still some tidying to do there but, basically done by Sudeep and myself earlier.
CSS thing with the smilies, not got to that. Doesn’t seem to be a major issue.
Other than the odd silly thing or minor annoyance, all seems good.
And, so far, nobody’s been bitching about it which is the biggest surprise!

Smilies all updated but I am going to have to edit every single one of them to make the smaller! 🙁

Good grief, it makes posting a reply on the iPad look messier than ever. 🙁

Well I’d fix it immediately if I could but, I maxed out the server access doing it so, I’m benched for an hour or so.
The iPad thing is the way it’s interpreting the CSS and, there’s not a huge lot we can do about it TBH. Try turning it to a landscape and see if that’s okay, it is a bit odd though I’ll grant you.

Apple don’t always get it right then. 😆 Tis fine in landscape view though. 8)
Oops, I see what you mean about the Smilies.December 15, 2015 at 5:19 pm #432513kwatt
KeymasterRe: Fresh Paint
That’s them sorted, all the same size pretty much so it should keep things a bit more tidy.

Not sure if it is a glitch in the new software or intended. I have just edited a post I made just now, the edit was less than ten minutes after the original post but instead of editing the post a complete new post was added to the thread?
