That’s new.
I was doing something earlier and it borked but, I’ve not managed to get it to repeat the error.
There again, some muppet was slamming the search with a massive query at the time, now limited. :rolls:

It’s that time again when the site needs a refresh.
In a few weeks I hope to be moving the site to a new version of PHP, the bit that runs it all in a way.
When that happens we have eyes on upgrading the main content side, store and forums which hopefully won’t be as traumatic as the last time.
I will keep you posted.
But once more I am toying with the idea of moving the forum from phpBB to vBulletin but, we’ll see.

Had a problem just now, same thing happened yesterday as well a couple of times.
After editing a post then clicking SUBMIT I got a small message, top left saying Error 301, moved permanently. Clicking on the small hyperlink took me back to the home page and checking back the post edit had not completed.?

I’ve just done an edit for the sake of it 😉 Everything worked fine as it should.
I see Sudeep edited a post yesterday which I presume looking at the logs was okay.

He was looking at it and he thinks it’s an old URL that’s not flicking to the SEO friendly URL as it should… or something like that.

Doesn’t do it for me every time, happened twice last night and again tonight.
If I close the site down completely then re open the post and edit it it then works fine?
Last night I was editing a post by DC in the Known Error codes thread from 2005, but it also did it as I attempted to edit a new post I had made as well.
I think that Sudeeps’ entry in the logs was from this afternoon after I first mentioned it Don. 😉

Turn’s out, we have no options.
The forums will need to be upgraded to move forward… absolutely no option.
Looks like we’re going to move to vBulleting that I know Jim’s used and I don’t think it’s all that hard but, it will be a big change.
We’re testing migration now as this will happen pretty quickly. Probably in the next 2-3 weeks at most I hope.
