Hi to all and this is my first post here so…
I’ve had this machine trouble free for 4 years until today … my girlfriend went to put it on then it stopped after 20 seconds displaying F13 machine is blocked contact assistance.. with all lights flashing and the pump to empty running?
Normally i clean out the waste pump once a month never to find anythink other than the general build up soaked fluff in there which has never been alot but checking this was still clear so i detached the whole assembly including hoses which were all clear too, reasembled to no avail.
Next i googled and read on similar models the dryer inlet duct somtimes gets blocked so i stripped this also to find loads of build up … cleared all that to clean and reasembled still to no avail
Googled again and ended up here .. went through all the fault codes on here finding there is no f13 in your list of codes so i thought i’d post my problem as this is the perfect place for good advice, so i hope someone can shed some light on this for me ,… soz about the long read

Can any1 help me or shed any light on this, ive checked through all the error codes on here and mine isnt listed, F13 machine is blocked is displayed on the front display

F13 is washer drier Ntc problem, I assume Otis a washer drier ? If so TBH you may need an engineer unless you electrically competent

Ntc problem could you explain a little more and yes im electrically competent and have a meter (fluke 10), and yes its a washer dryer

from reading are we talking about the stat (thermistor) located on the heater between the terminals on the bottom of the tub if so what ohm reading am i looking for

I’ve just measured the thermister and i came back with 2.29 ohms , is this correct

its not the wash heater NTC its the dryer NTC located at the top of the dryer duct.

Ok and thanks for that bob, ill put the meter across and update … realy any help appreciated as the washing pile is growing lol

Is the ntc on the drier box the same as the one found on the water heater or are they different and would this cause the washer to say its blocked ?

One the older models they are the same , they now fit a newer improved part as they had so many failures with it when fitted in the drier. They never play up in the water heater. It’s something to do with the sensor getting to hot and the glue inside failing,
The new part is a direct replacement for the old one, its white in colour rather than black.
F13 is also most always that sensor failed.

At exsacky what point for F13 show. Wash or dry ? How long in ?
I have had a few where the board plays up as well but 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time it’s te drier NTC.
just to confirm you have replaced the one towards the front of the drier box, you had to split it open to change.

Yes i had to split the dryer casing to remove the ntc , ive now replaced the ntc as it seemed the one i bought was faulty but now replaced its operational to a point, i put on a spin to test which takes 20 mins on the display , after 13 minutes im getting the f13 error again but it did run so now im testing it on a load hooked up to the water and ill opost back my findings .. hopfuly i will clear then i can clear this mini mount everest of clothes
