Participanthad a look at this fan oven today , the element works fine but not the fan or the interior light , the fan has no power coming to it from the stat / switch , i see there are 2 cut outs on the top of the oven housing i can get continuity from one but not the other , anyone know what these cut outs do ? are they related to the fan problem ? thanks

i checked the switch its a mechanical one with metal strip contacts , continuity when switched on and none when its off cant test it for anything else really , thermostat is behind that has power going to it and coming out the other side but the wire leading to one side of the fan from the stat is not carrying any current

Several different models of the BD32, need the full model number plus commercial code and serial number if possible.

Sadly these ovens often had a stick on label that either comes unstuck or burns off. Its usually dead centre, front at the bottom of the main oven.

Sorry, don’t have a wiring diagram but I’m with A1engineer on this in that I reckon it is the main oven selector switch also.
Trouble is that a BD32P has no less than 3 variant main oven switches and it’s important to get the full model number and commercial code for it. The 3 different switches are: –
C00227335
C00261547
C00196448I wonder if the full model no’s are stamped on the back panel?

ParticipantHi
I had a problem similar to this last year on this model in that the interior light and the element came on but not the fan.
I found the bulb blown and the bulb holder had a blow hole in it.
Replaced the stat and bulb holder and ok.I would be looking at what is shorting and blowing stat, good luck.

hi all , i was back at this cooker today turned on selector switch nothing , tested thermostat i replaced previously , seemed ok i had another spare to hand so i put that one in and it was working , i swapped it for the original i fited and hey that worked also ?? , i have a digital temp reader and probe on my meter so i stuck the probe in a hole at the back of the oven cavity and turned on the oven to max. 220 c and the heat kept going 230 ,,, 240 ,,, i turned it off at 246 c element was bright red fan working fine , is there a problem with the stat still ??? or could it be an over heat protection prob ? anyone use meters for checking temps ?? thanks fellers
