Hotpoint Tool Case 19

I am getting to the point where I will have to replace my 14 year old tool case.

I have seen the Hotpoint tool case 19 listed on some suppliers sites but there are no images.
Is this a hard case like the GT Line?
Can someone who has one of these take a couple of photos, particularly the way the inside is configured so I can see what it’s like. Also, if you have one let me have your opinion of it?

I have one it is made by Antler i think, you can get replaceable tool cards when they wear out, only time i got the case replaced was whe the feet broke off after years of abuse didnt want to damage somebodys flooring, similar to this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Custom-Engine … 2104022773 cheers JJ

Hi Keith, I spent a lot on a gt line case a couple of years back and always hated it. Partitions in lower section don’t stay where they’re put and unless you’ve got absolutely everything in a perfect position the lid won’t shut! Now there’s wearing in the hinges and stuff falls out. Won’t be having another, will probably go parat next time. Wiz

That’s worth knowing.
I can’t find anywhere locally that stocks any of these and I don’t like the idea of buying without seeing one first.

If you’re happy to consider an alternative style, Veto Pro Pac are the best tool cases I’ve found. Expensive but very hard wearing.

I use the Tech LC model, which has space for umpteen hand tools one side and large pockets for test meters, etc, on the other side. I find this carries all the tools I need for 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of jobs. A bigger version, the Tech XL, is also available.

It’s an interesting idea. I used to use a tool bag but didn’t like everything ending up in the bottom and the zip was a pain. This looks like it would work though.
I like the hard tech cases because when open everything is laid out and easy to access.
I quite like the idea of one of the back pack styles. I have local supplier so will check it out.

I am on my second CK Magma toolcase and can highly recommend.
I like the shoulder strap which helps me to pick it up without bending my back.
And only £35.

I second Stratfordgirl’s choice. Quality toolbag that can contain all you could need and carry to the job without having to go backwards and forwards down the stair from the top flat just to get a socket set or soldering iron.

Quality and durability come at a price. These cheap plastic/material pockets soon fall apart once you’ve dragged a screwdriver in and out half a dozen times. And the straps holding them upright in the case break soon as looking at them. And when the shoulder strap breaks and your tool case falls on the ground crossing the high street I guarantee the passing no.3a bus will finish the job and make your day go even better! 👿

I had a look at some of the Veto Pro Pac’s earlier. They look durable option. Unfortunately they didn’t have the Tech-LC. They had the Tech-XL version but it’s a bit weighty @ 9.4lbs.
I hate making decisions.
