Does anybody actually get any work from the engineer search page?
In over a year I have never had one single job.
I have also sent all my details off when there has been “Manufacturer requires agents” topics, but again I have never received a single job.

Got one just the other day.
TBH it depends what you do, where you are and so on with the guys in London definitely seeing more than most. But most have had something from it at one stage or another.
Manufacturer agent one, depends who it was for, volumes and so on as well.

Hello,
I would like to thank all who participated in the Rapport Call Handling Survey.
Survey URL:
http://www.rapportsoftware.co.uk/index.php/survey?source=forumsThis is Sudeep Talati, (Software Developer of Rapport Software and PhD student).
I am urgently seeking your help to evaluate my Rapport Call Handling software and your feedback is essential for me to complete my PhD.
Please complete the online survey on my software – Only 10 questions, taking 2 minutes of your time. I promise.
Please be reassured that your feedback is anonymous and so you can be as honest as you wish to be.
Even negative feedback is useful to me as it will help me analyse the software more closely and will be used as guide for improvement in later releases.
I have already 30 responses but unfortunately I need at least 60 as this feedback is not sufficient for my PhD.
Thank you for your time. It is very much appreciated.

Been a while…
Over the weekend we will be making a few little changes.
Okay, I lied. It’s a heap of changes to the engineer search. It will be, probably, the largest alteration we’ve made since it moved from the old phpNuke version circa 2010 to the current one.
And, it’s way cool if you ask me but there again, I am somewhat biased.
This is just a heads up on it and a bit of a prelude for WTA members as there’s a staged rollout on the more advanced stuff you’ll be able to do with it.
First off the mods, if they want, can get access to this first. Sorry but, that’s only fair and proper as the mods are hugely respected and all that.
Next and almost immediately after that it’ll get opened up to WTA members and, with good reason that will become apparent in time.
After we’ve worked through that then it’ll get opened up to everyone else.
The reason we need to do it that way is because we need to create a few things, logins etc, for each account so, we don’t want deluged and you lot moaning at us over it. Plus, it’s fair to do it that way.
I guess you’re probably wondering why you should even care.
Okay so the new system will allow you to login to a portal in much the same way as any you’re familiar with and to adjust, tinker and tweak stuff for yourself. We did try that before but, it was a bit clunky I’ll admit, functional sure but, not the greatest. This is a lot better!
It will allow you to see what enquiries you’ve had through the system, with historical data.
It will allow you to see missed calls in your region and, from the info you can see why that is.
If you use Rapport, any enquiries can be logged right onto your dashboard, click it, book it, done.
Soon enough you’ll have access to a bit of code you can drop into your website that allows customers visiting your own website to essentially use that same process and system to log a call straight to you right off your website, no programming needed at all.
And, again if you’re using Rapport, those enquiries will be logged straight onto your system.
I need to rewrite an awful lot about this over the coming days/weeks so bear with us please as we get to grips with it all as it’s a huge change from an IT point of view and, that’s in large part the reason for the staged rollout.
Should be fun though and you’ll see why it’s limited to WTA for a while soon enough. Once you see what we’re up to it’ll all make complete sense.
It’ll make even more sense once we have the mobile side of things a bit more sorted. 😉
Stay tuned…

And, it lives…

A few last minute changes were needed as is usual with new software stuff and there’s probably some bits and bobs that will need fixed on the fly but it’s all up and running now.

It is very nice I must say, works well. One problem I did notice when surfing the listings, many are very out-dated. As an example all those companies listed in the Reading area either no longer exist or (in the case of one company) continue to trade but in another name and phone number. 😕
