Poor lad is learning the hard way. He has made a few posts about his ancient Hotpoint spin dryer and has bombarded me with questions via e-mail ever since.
Whilst not quite sure what makes a 16 year old lad want to buy old washers and then spend his pocket money trying to get them working is beyond me. That said when I was a nipper I used to pull apart anything and everything that I could get my hands on. Because of this I have always answered his endless questions, I thought about mentioning girls but there are far worse things he could be spending his time on than old appliances I suppose. 😉He has already spent £25 to £30 on bits for this spinner and decided to put some new clutch shoes in it.
He e-mailed me last night to tell me the motor had gone up in smoke. On questioning him it appears that he has fitted the clutch shoes the wrong way round, result major motor overload. :rolls:
Lets hope its a lesson learned, the hard way is usually the best way after all. 🙂

They get a warning that they’re misbehaving. Beyond that, dunno yet.

Not that I’m aware of Don.
Dunno though as the BG guys are underground and banned from being on UKW. It’s a disciplinary offence if they’re caught on here apparently or, so I’m told.

Too good for him.
But how far are we going to let it go? I suppose we’d best draw a close to it but, it has to be done “in the right way” as the Swedes say. :rolls:

I have had my ‘two ‘pennerth’ as they say round here, I won’t be wasting any more time on him. :rolls:
Not sure if completely ignoring him would work, but thats my stance from here on in.

Strange as it may seem your actions are exactly what I was just about to suggest. 8)
Banning outright would make him a martyr, at least in his own small, deluded world.
Strange fella, on the one hand bleating about the unfairness of it all and in the next breath bragging about 20k+ turnover a month on sales. :rolls:

Nope not for a while anyway, perhaps he will then get the message.
I cannot work out if he is just confrontational for the fun of it or just too stupid to understand the basics.
As for sales well anyone can spout figures, problem is, some of us know him and know the figures quoted are more at home in a jackanory story than reality.
A quick check at Companies House shows his Ltd Company was only formed In June last year so there are no accounts to back him up, which in effect sums him up.

His post whilst fairly mild does not contribute any more to an already contentious thread.
Agree with Carl, let him sweat a while.
To tell the truth I don’t know how I have managed to restrain myself from commenting on his appalling spelling and grammar but thats another matter. 🙂

ModeratorRe: In search of the fourth cord
For some strange reason he seems to have posted again, but it is just a copy/quote of my last post without comments this time. 😕
I think that one should just be deleted.
PS, Can everyone see his ‘Marked’ posts in the thread or just the mods?

Just mods can see it. 😉
Delete the copy stuff, agreed. He’s probably thought we’ve forgotten about him and hasn’t fully sussed what “moderated” means.
