Well I hope when we were agents we were up to the job as I don’t recall ever having a rejected claim.
Nope none of my engineers have qualifications but they do have experience and someone looking over their shoulders checking they remain on the mark, called the Service Manager.
Apart from LG crap where every part is separate I can’t remember ever ordering 8 parts to complete a repair to a unit but hey ho!

If there’s a problem I’m not shy in letting people know. 😉
TBH the decent agents never have an issue really, the odd silly thing maybe but normally nothing troubling.
Some of them though…

Yeah, I heard about it as whoever it is posted on MSE about how hacked off they were, but like you, I didn’t believe it.
Probably whoever is doing it CBA or whatever.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that this poster is not just a kosher member of the public.

It’s an odd one, I’ll give you that.
But then, there’s a lot of strange people out there. Some should possibly be cared for by other means that are not UKW forums.

There is also….
http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/fault-codes.html
And an app for iOS and Android with pretty much them all there and some more besides.
TBH though, it’s an attitude that seems extremely common with trade members. Many seem to want someone to do it all for them and wipe their ass when you’ve helped them too.
To say that they often cannot find the information is, frankly, just plain daft IMO. More a case of they can’t be bothered to look and, can’t be bothered to read and learn.

Just plain lazy if you ask me.Goodness knows how many threads we move from trade members requesting trade tech help, who post it in either general trade / rumour mill or even in the public forums :rolls:

Yup.
It might even be him.

Well, if it was/is him I think it just backfired as he’s made the WTA look like great value for money.
I didn’t even get into the NICEIC charging £25 for a job pad and so on. Think, CORGI on steroids. 😉

all that aside, the conference thread has now stretched way off topic and is tedious reading for a possible first timer thinking of coming along, can I suggest the topic split to get it back on track without giving jamiesparrot ammo by deleting it?

Yup, that’s not a bad idea Mark.
Now, where to split it and what to call it… ???
