Washman,
Either your clock is wrong or you`re reading this through the bottom of a glass.
Well it is Saturday night 😆

KeymasterHi Washman and welcome to the site.
If you go into the preferences for your account you need to set the time zone to GMT. That way you’re not working in the morning. 😉

That’s a matter of opinion 🙁
It may be early days and too early to judge but its not looking good for Wash Vac and their new tie-in with Wolseley’s website…… Parts Center, Pipe Center, Plumb Center, Builder Center, Shopping Center, Sports Center, Village Center, Town Center and City Center 🙄
Can’t get ‘Identifier’ to work either, oh dear 😕
Seems the future for web based spares information, identification and supply is not looking too rosey. Parts Center is making all this stuff available for Joe Public to purchase as well 🙁
oh dear oh dear!

Can we clarify the website situation please.
http://www.washvac.com takes you to the old Washvac website, the same as it’s always been.
So, what is the url for the Partscentre version ?? If I go to http://www.partscenter.co.uk my normal log in doesn’t work but my existing HRPC account log in does allow access but not to the appliance spares section 😕
So, presumably I need to ask for a new user/pass for the parts centre site ?
Dave.

I rung partcentre’s new call centre (since i’m in the same area code) and they used my old wash-vac account number to give me a new account number. I then used that to create a partscentre account on the website. :haier:
It seems to have nothing to do with my old wash-vac account. I placed my first order today, and they asked for my address!!!!!!
Like Martin says, the indentifier doesn’t work, and the site is annoying (IMO). I’m not impressed at all!
But the call centre was very helpful and well-informed.

In a word, Yes!
Their master plan is that very soon both the Wash Vac site and Stocklink will disappear and we (they) will be left with http://www.partscenter.co.uk 🙁

Hmm.
CBA really to phone them, they can’t even to be bothered to reply to my email of yesterday morning.
Let ’em carry on, when the sales drop off they’ll soon change their tune no doubt 😉

Hi all
Im still useing old site. 😆
but the new one (parts cntr) seems to find your part number or your wash vac number if you put it in the keyword search box while searching in the spares section.
Not done a order yet as still trying to find the price I would pay for it.
seems to show net price rather than trade price 😥
I emailed accounts last week and got a new acount number ( you only use the first 7 digits of this ) then I registerd this account number with a new password.Paul

When you register it asks you which prices you want, net, retail or trade. Perhaps you didn’t set it to trade. Not that I can get into the site anyway 😥

ParticipantRe: Is WashVac’s site down?
Well I have just had chance, now I finally got the Parts Center website to work today, to check it out 🙁
Oh Dear! 😥
Everything relies on you knowing the Parts Center Catalogue No? Without that knowledge you could try ‘Keyword search’ 😕 (Though platting sawdust is slightly easier) Try just typing “Hoover” and you get 300 pages of parts available (including Baxi Boiler Bits listed under Hoover??) Type in any hoover model number and you get : “Sorry, no matching products were found. Try again, or, if you’d prefer, we can order it for you!”
Using their “Identifier” is a breathtaking experience of confusion and wonder. “GC Appliance number?” haven’t as yet figured what the hell that’s all about but hey! Try the Manufacturer tab instead? Loads of boiler bits, friggin’ thousands of boilers really (and I never knew that?) but very few whitegoods except Hoover, Candy a few White Knight’s listed even was thrilled to see Ariston listed (though that too was just boiler bits again 🙁 )
I looked up “White Knight CL447 Tumble Dryer”, lo and behold a single page PDF file came up showing the cabinet area (not drum or electrics pages). Click on “View Parts List” and all the parts come up. Choose a part then “Add to Basket” and one gets a error that says : Could not communicate with wolcen2 on port 2004 😥
Stikes me this “Wolcen2” is not someone you should mess with :rotl:
Ah well!, it was such fun trying Identifier just the same :rotfl:
So before I go kick nextdoors cat off my flowerbed, I would sum up the Parts Center website in just 4 words….BUY YOUR BITS ELSEWHERE!
