If I try idenTIFFier [sic] I get a warning that the sites security certificate is ‘invalid’ ❓

Dunno :con:
But one vital ‘addendum’ to my last posting, those that continue to use ‘Stocklink’ will be invoiced the ‘Stocklink Price’ BUT if you order via the new Parts Center site instead you will be invoiced at a much higher price. :lesson:
For example, just received a DHL parcel from HRPC and when I reconciled all the parts via both systems the Stocklink price will be £85.58 + VAT but had I made the fatal error of using the Parts Center website to order these same bits, I would have been invoiced £102.18 + VAT 🙁

Is someone reading this from Washvac or someone else is feeding the info back to them ?
partscenter.com is now down due to technical problems 😆
To be honest, they’d be better off leaving it offline altogether until they get it right.
Dave.

I saw the rep yesterday. He phoned Rob (some of you may know he’s the pc man) and asked about the indentifier.
I just heard ‘…yeah, I know it’s not working, customers are telling me it’s not working. Can’t you put a note on the website or summit?’
He also said…….I might type it in the rummor mill later. I bet you all look at my area and know who my rep is 🙁

In fact tell your rep that ‘Identiffier’ is working as I reported on a short while ago. And lets hope this subject isn’t added onto The Rumour Mill as well, ‘cos it’s all over this site in various forms as it is 😯

Soz, I didn’t look at the last page. 😳
I was just going to say, that I asked the rep if there are selling to the public. He said something like, ‘So what? Electure do!’

Customer just asked me for carbon brushes for a Hotpoint WM62P so I enter WM62P in the search box to just double check if they are the laminated type or FHP type. All I get is
Sorry, no matching products were found. Try again, or, if you’d prefer, we can order it for you!
Surely they have parts for a WM62P?

Ah :lesson: But first Andy you need the ‘catalogue number’. Now to get that (don’t try looking on ‘identiifier’ by the way – complete waste of time 🙁 ) and (would you know it?) the answer has been staring you in the face all the while…..you simply need to :-

P.S. I filled in their “Website feedback” earlier today with my thoughts on their site, so far not a word was heard, not even an echo….H-E-L-L-O ?

I’ve had a possitive expieriance with parts-centre!
I thought you’d like to know. Electrue quoted me £33 for a special-order part they didn’t have in stock. I phoned parts-centre (it’s easier), and they have the part in stock for £7. Then I asks if they can send it to my local trade counter. ‘Sure’ she said, ‘It will be there Friday morning.
We’ll see 😕
If it works out, I will be well impressed.

Am I doing something wrong or missing something obvious? The new Wash Vac site is totally unusable to me. Before, if I entered a model number I could view all the parts held for that machine and find what I want.
Now, every model number I enter just brings up no results. Is this deliberate maybe? To only allow people with part numbers to find stuff?
Here are just a few models I tried where there are apparently no parts stocked which I don’t believe.
hoover ac272 (instruction book only)
hotpoint 9520 No parts
hotpoint WM62 No parts
Indesit WIL143suk No Parts
Hotpoint wf220 No partsAs it currently stands it’s useless to me.

Of course in didn’t friggin work out! 👿
I got the part eventually, and this morning I got the bill.
I was told in a phone call, the bill was going to be £9, not £7.
Final bill – £27. 🙁 🙁 🙁
——————————————————-
I think I’ll try that with my customers.‘That washer is £100, love!’
Then give her a bill for £300 when she agrees delivery.
What sort of a way to run a company is that????

ParticipantRe: Is WashVac’s site down?
Well then, at the end of this month Wash Vac will be no more and their Stocklink switched off, the end of an era will be gone! 😯
Wolseley will have finally pulled the plug on what used to be a great company trading tradition and the second biggest wholesaler in the UK. 😥
Spare parts supply to the whitegoods trade will likely be as woefully inadequate as their plumbing and heating supplies department (ask any plumber about that side of their business?) Jewsons and Graham knock their ‘Build Center’ into an ‘also ran’ category. 🙁
For example, in Reading, Berkshire many plumbers buy their bits from a B&Q superstore and only venture across the street to ‘Plumb Center’ to get a cup of coffee (free vending machine) and have a chat with other plumbers. If you ask the staff for something they haven’t got in stock or it appears too costly, many of these tradesmen will tap you on the shoulder and suggest it better to shop at B&Q for plumbing stuff 😆
Parts Center will also be supplying any part for any appliance (if it can get one that is) to any member of the public via any of their depots. Fast moving spares will be supplied ‘off the shelf’ and the rest on a next day delivery to that depot.
To avoid paying delivery charges, trading account holders can pick up their orders from their local branch as and when they receive it from their distribution depot in Ripon, Yorks. Otherwise to your door as per their standard delivery charges next day. Currently orders over £60 are delivered next day for free but I suspect they will raise the bar on that pretty soon to perhaps orders over £100..? (very likely)
As for their website……?

Chocolate and Teapot spring to mind and not worth further elaboration in my opinion……
