The latest. Should you happen to order parts from ISDAL & If it is a “cash” call or insurance job that didn’t come through them, or worse than that if you fail to put their job number on an order; you will now be charged a “handling/administration” fee of £5.00
Therefore if Leibherr on D&G, you get the double whammy. £5 charged by Leibherr, plus another fiver for ISDA. I picked the phone up & complained that we should have been advised of a hidden charge, Wendy has promised me a credit note.
Suggest not published in trade forums for now as they will know where it came from, and considering they have agreed to refund me, I can’t really moan. However, keep your eyes open.

KeymasterActually…
Ian mentioned this the other day to me and I told him exactly what I’d tell them to do with the charge. 😉

Hi All
Julian has been made Managing Director of ISDAL.
Not made knowledge to the engineers yet but has been informed to the companies they work for.
They want to let the engineers know directly.

Now I am confused – I thought Richard was MD, if so, where is he going other than on holiday for a fortnight?

Think richard has been kept in the back burners for a while now more so on technical rather than service director (if he ever was).

Assume most would have seen the e-mail sent out to ISDAL agents today. Richard being “Sidelined/Promoted” within the group; Julian taking his place and Dave Highton having his profile raised (slightly).
Richard may have seemed to be a bit irascible at times, but at least I could deal with the guy and talk him into my way of thinking when it came to issues. Have a feeling the passing of my ally from within means any favours and concessions will be stifled now.
The accounts are bloody useless and I’m about to bin them, unless Julian turns it round, and I have a feeling that won’t happen.
We e-mailed them May 2006 for a price on a Leibherr compressor, and the e-mail made it quite clear we only wanted a price. 3 days later a compressor arrived. After a lot of discussion they relented to send me a returns label. I thought no more of it. 10 Months later I get the invoice, naturally I demanded a credit note. Still waiting and now they are pushing for £200 odd. We ordered a stainless door again Liebherr, kept arriving damaged, had a credit note for 1 only, and they invoiced me for 4; including one sent to the customer who no longer wanted it as the machine had since been exchanged.
I now owe them for 3 doors 2 of which have been sent back, and 1 compressor returned over 12 months ago.
They sent me a call last Feb for a Luxair hood. The address on the request was the address sent by Luxair, which was the customers billing address. We completed the work and endorsed the paperwork why the address differed. 6 Months later they rejected, now they do not carry out work for Luxair, they’ve told me I’m on my own. Oh Yeah! It is a mere £83 but it is the principle.
I’ve told Dave Highton if I don’t get paid, he needs to seek another agent, and it will cost them more than £83 in Diesel and hotel bills to come down here and find someone. Plus the fact there is nobody down here in any case. He has until close of trading Monday, and I suspect knowing Dave, naff all will get done.
I was tempted to post this in the trade forums, but that will kill my chances of getting this sorted stone dead. I might be tempted at a later date though.

Sh1t & Rocking Horses come into this one.
They are getting their cheque books out, and blowing the dust off their credit notes.
Looks like I’m still an agent…………. for the time being.

Hmm
Well they have risen there ugly heads again..
Checking through the payment print off I notice a journal debit of £120.05,after looking through the jobs I find it was an insurance D&G call which had autherized a high cost repair £235 (approx).according to there screen they couldnt see it so tracey fairburn deducted the difference between the £115 limit.
BUT ISDAL HAS invoiced D&G and been paid £285 already..Not pleased at all

I still owe for Leibherr parts I did not order going back nearly 2 years. This is from placing an enquiry for a price which involved them sending the bits instead, and the receipt of 4 damaged Liebherr doors. Still not resolved. To prevent further liability I stopped Leibherr with them.
I have an outstanding invoice for another item showing on my account from last year, and I paid them in a batch, Iv’e given the cheque number, and confirmed has been cleared. I’ve written all over the statement I send back with a cheque stapled to it, and it still goes on.
Regards D&G, why don’t you invoice D&G direct, we do as with Smeg & MFI, that way we are in control and that lot don’t get a bite of the cherry. I send all mine by EDI and no problems at all.
Clearly ISDA have a problem in accounts.

The latest is that ISDAL are taking payment for out of warranty frigidaire calls and charging the customer £84 inc vat prior to the visit.
They are paying the engineers £55 plus vat plus the engineer charges the customer for the parts used.

Nice to know you’re wanted and valued. :rolls:
Saying that, CDA have been doing that sh1t as well for a while now so I guess it should come as no surprise really.
TBH I’ve been getting a few calls from ISDAL recently as they obviously have problems, especially it seems, in the outlying areas no-one else wants to go to which, it just so happens, is the work we get. Irrespective of that, I refuse to work for the low rates so they get 2nd class treatment even when they are paying a premium for me to cover these areas for them.
But I’ve knocked it on the head again as I was only doing it as a favour for Dave H as they were in the crap but, since they’ve still not paid me, they can go whistle.

Nice people this lot, I hear they are now setting up second and third tiers and offering to carry out repairs on the FRF1700FF and the FRC196 which as we know has a design issue for the same £84.

Another little snippet I heard today, not sure if its kosher but it seems that there is abit of a power struggle going on at the top within ISDAL. Seems that Richard might like his MD job back but that Julian doesn’t want to give it up 😯
