ModeratorI have just been out to an ISE 2 mk2 installed in March. Complaint of spin on wash, machine ramped up to full spin speed as soon as motor started when set to spin, turned out to be a module fault.
Have just had another phone call from a customer who had one of these installed three weeks ago.
Machine has worked fine for two weeks but now when the programme finishes, the Programme End light does not come on. Customer waited for over five minutes the first time and eventually the Start/Pause light started to flash which indicates a door lock problem. The second time she stopped the machine by turning off.
She also said that when the programme had finished and before the Start/Pause light came on she could hear a faint ‘spurting’ noise. 😕
Anyone come across this fault before?
Jim.

I had the door lock fault on the very first ISE2 I installed. It seemed that as the door went to unlock the water valve opened momentarily and the door locked again. It kept repeating this until switched off.

Thanks for that Bazza, she did say it sounded as though it was trying to spurt water into the machine.
Will check it out.Jim.

Door lock should fix it – had one which required a PCB as well.

Mind you, I had one which did it; gave the front panel a thump to spring the door lock and it never did it again……
Spooky.

Or at least I thought it was.
Customer now reports that it worked fine for two washes then had the same fault again, END light does not come on and she can hear a spurting noise, if left it will then start flashing the Start/Pause light after four or five minutes.
She has tried the machine for over ten washes and it has failed like this on three washes and worked perfectly on the others. 😕 ❓ 😥
Any suggestions other than trying a PCB?

All I need now is a replacement for the one I fitted on the 27th Oct 😉
I didn’t really just type that did I, 😯 I know I will get it in the neck for being so provocative. 🙂
Still after the last few days I don’t give a toss. 😆
Only joking K. 😉

Are the replacement interlocks different from the originals?

I meant a replacement PCB as well as a doorlock. The door locks look exactly the same to me.

If the doorlocks are the same I would say it has gone faulty again. Other manufacturers are having the same problem with the doorlocks as well causing the same symptoms.

Interesting, if and when I get a replacement PCB I will change that first to see how it behaves.
To date this is the only one I have had this problem with though.

Damn it.
Eventually managed to get back and change the PCB on this machine.
Looks like Bazza is spot on, the new door lock I fitted four weeks ago is also showing exactly the same fault, even after changing PCB. 😥 A swift knock on the side does release it but can hardly be put forward to the customer as a long term solution. :rolls: 🙂
Will await the arrival of the new batch of interlocks.
Jim.
