I’m wondering if it may be the chaps that just do private jobs that are quiet?
What percentage of your work are private jobs Bryan?

To be honest every year we go through these quirt spells. Its as if someone turned the phone off. I find myself ringing my own phone just to make sure its working. Then just when you think the bottom has fell out your running round like a looney for three months wishing there would be a little bit of a let up in the work.I think you can come up with all sorts of ideas why it goes quiet .Kids holidays ,machine prices etc etc but to be honest I think its just completley random. Its a funny old game 8)

All my work is private, I have been on to D&G they say they are only looking for gas engineers, that’s no good to me, I’m a multi skilled ex Hotpoint man system trained do everything except gas cookers, been on my own for 9 years, been ok up till now.
I moved to Bedfordshire in October and found getting work in a new area hard going.March 25, 2009 at 7:33 am #266521wards
