Cant stand dishonesty! Never in 29 years have i ever kept anything that was in a customers house/ washing machine, even the rubbish is left on the side as it dosnt belong to me!
Keeping stuff and then giving it to charity is still theft no matter how you dress it up.
Cant believe any one would still do that and i am guessing they be members od a trade body too, and if so that raising questions for or profession.
Lets hope every one is joking!!December 9, 2010 at 5:21 pm #338091Bill

Do not forget that every thing found in any machine is still the owners!

If someone was really dishonest and had more than two brain cells, they wouldn’t stay in this trade long. There are far better opportunities available; in the banking and insurance sectors for example.

Mike said Don’t go!!!..
Mike I wish I had taken your advice.
I get there all excited ready for my little treasure hunt and she says “False alarm I’ve found it in the bedroom but come in anyway Ive got a dryer not heating for you to look at”
I think great at least its a job .
So I stroll through this big house into the garage/laundry room full of crap .
I must of moved about ten boxes just to get to the dryer anyway after alot of farting about the dryer was a hotpoint CTD80 showing F08 you know the rest.
Tell her to call Indesit or get a new one. She decided to go to currys to get a new one but could I fit it 😯 . I tell her you only have to take the wrapping of and plug it in . Well me and my husband are not very good with things like that she says .
Im just wondering if anyone can guess what she does for a living. Its nothing exciting but i’ll just recap to give you a clue.
1, Lives with crap and clutter everywhere.
2, Unable to plug a new dryer in
3, Was going to get me to strip her washing machine down because she couldnt find a necklace on her dressing table.Theres only one profession she could work in .

:hmm: I like guessing games. Maybe 💡 that’s why I’m in this trade.
But …. I think we need a few more clues. Not too many…. just something more to go on.

she is obviously some kind of quark splitting university lecturer…?
Back to most valuable find for a minuteWhen I was fresh out of Hoovers training college in Doncaster (1982, anyone remember Mr. Richmond?)
one of my first jobs for Hoover was a call to a overdressed house in a nice neighbourhood,
on the drive is a pickup with wheels at about shoulder height and sure enough, as one would expect the original medalion man, shirt half open, hairy chest and necklace shows me into the kitchen
He was naturally loud and aggresive was Mr. Smith and worked on the rigs for a living, away for weeks at a timeI can still remember to this day the tirade of spitting swearing anger when out from the sump hose along with a nice watch came…
