ParticipantHi Guys,
Just received a phone call from a very reliable contact that informs me that NESN will cease trading on Tuesday!
Yesterday NESN offered me a whole new area because a NESN agent (a founder member) has arranged to liquidate his company on Tuesday!
I will be doing a lot more digging over the weekend and suggest that someone keeps an eye on company house reports!Phil K 😀

KeymasterI have to say I’m not surprised by this development, if of course it proves to be true, in the least. In fact, I’ve expected it for some time now, just as I expect others to follow as well in due course.
In some ways this has happened too soon to fit in with my plans, but I’m sure that we can still probably profit by it in the longer term.
Of more concern right now is what the fallout is liable to be.

Yep, although from the feedback I get, there’s naff all to loose TBH, a couple of calls a week at best if you’re lucky.
What concerns me is who will grab the work left behind, someone on the site will be working in one way or another for JT and the scumbags at ServicePower, sadly this will play right in to their plans as NESN’s downfall was high on the list of Brock etc….

KeymasterOn brown there’s more to play for.
However, the Service Power problem is part of the fallout that I’m talking about. Note the vultures circling this afternoon.

ParticipantHave heard a tale someone (ex Nesn with a tie up to Servicepower and JT and INCE )has issued a winding up order for non-payment ( Empire investigating him for supposed fraudulent claims hence reason for non payment by nesn). Whether this true remains to be seen.

Is Strollo still trading as Appliance Xpress Ltd ?

KeymasterIf NESN are starved for cash for any reasonable length of time, especially if it affects payments to the agents, then there’s big trouble in store for them as I’m sure you will all realise. Even with the rumour of it then agents may stop or make getting calls done “difficult” at best as none of us would do work that we think there’s a high probability we won’t get paid for.
Should be interesting to say the least to see what happens and I’m just glad I’m well out of it.

Reliable source tells me its a small brown goods agent in Cumbria, Who’s 64 fed up, and wants to retire.
Someone has apparantly billed Empire £1 below there auth limit consecutively for 3 months ! Consequently they suspended them and have withheld payment. Now they are skint and are obviously trying any means necessary to get some money.
This what I’m led to believe – whether there is any truth in that I don’t.

KeymasterAll this speculation is fine, but still that mail DID go to all NESN agents on Tuesday night. Due to me being away I didn’t get a chance to do anything with it until Thursday really.
But you’d have to consider that if NESN are in as precarious a situation as I think that they’re in financially and most certainly politically, that they would have responded by close of play on Friday. They haven’t.
This strikes me as incredibly strange and totally out of character with Carole Madden, who is liable to fire right back, even as an interim stopgap to at least attempt to quell any bad rumours. Even more astonishing is that this is being left over a bank holiday weekend, to be honest, Strollo’s timing to launch an attack was wrong but that was his call, as he left NESN loads of time to respond to the comments.
Then, as a backdrop, we have an agent quitting and saying that NESN are wrapping it in.
Other rumours point to a “winding up order” being placed on NESN which would severely hamper, at the very best, their ability to function. If this proves correct then Strollo probably has timed it right as they’d be due to pay salaries about now I’d expect and, should they be unable to do that, they may well be right in the crap.
Can you tell I’ve seen this strategy before yet, I may even have dreamed up a similar plan in a previous life. 😉

I think it all stinks to high heaven(or in NESNs case …Hell). Whatever happens I hope Strollo goes to the wall, he’s a twat, full stop.
And as Nesn sued me in the high court for the MFI work because of Walter Russell being a lying two faced bastard, I hope they go to the wall and take Russell with them…..now that would be an early xmas present.
Its hard not to walk around with a smile on my face at the moment…

I see some of this has got into the rumour mill. Assume Rudi has been kept fully up to date.
First reaction, FANTASTIC.
I feel a tad sorry for those friends of ours who are part of the UKW membership who backed the wrong horse. I can assume they may be left a bob or two down on the deal. Reminds me of P.E.S.N. from Birmingham.
Problem as I see it though, Bloody Service Power; Vultures who will be picking the bones of the carcass.
Anyway, move on.
