Has anyone else had the ‘ threatening letter from NESN regarding MFI.
I’ve not actually seen it yet, but when I do I’ll let you know.

No, not seen or heard about it but i take it that it’ll be the normal “thou shalt not work for another network” crap that usually gets banded about everytime NESN percieve a threat?

I’ve been expecting it ever since the recent announcement of the parting of ways.

It will probably come in the form of an email on friday night as usual, so no-one will be there to scream at ’till Monday morning.

It won’t affect us as we weren’t offered the MFI work anyway 🙁

😈 I’ve had mine and its full of crap, wrong facts and waffle. It quite clearly blames “scogs” as chief conspirator and I must agree with this assumption(ha ha).Ah well ,at least we can get on with life knowing at least one firm wants to sue the arse out of me(us),kinda makes it all worth while.

So the usual threatening bullshit we get then! I really don’t know why we all put up with that crap from anyone let alone this mob, TBH, I’m glad I’m out and they did me a favour as I don’t have to put up with that kind of shit for the three month run-down period.

Yup and you’re a prime target as well! 😉

Yes, an interesting tactic but once youo see through it all it does is make you still angrier as it has some time to fester with you over the weekend.

You may well find that you are not getting offered other work because of the fact that you are working for NESN. There is some people that think NESN is going to go titsup.com in the not too distant future without some serious capital investment, which they are unlikely to get from anyone bar the likes of Currys and if they go they may well take quite a few agents with them!

    Scogings the ringleader

Even up here in the north they know Scogs is the main man and anyone who doesn’t certainly will do before I’m done on Sunday.
I don’t see why he should work for NESN when the rest of us have been sacked or given in our notice. Shame JT’s on holiday otherwise I could email him.
Bridie and I are enjoying the rain.
    P*** off to you all!

thanks ted it only rains on the guilty.another point of interest is the 60{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} payment we have all recieved.this is 60{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the money they have recieved as there self billing invoice informs us that they have already had payment from there clients.maybe wrong but this surely breaks the contract terms.i may be wrong if so speak to flipper i think he may be slightly p*** off,he is putting them on stop monday if not paid in full.had a conversation with another work provider today who would like to use our proposed network when avalible.

No, the self-billing invoice (in so much as I or anyone else understands it 😕 ) relates to the work submitted by the system due for payment that month, it’s a VAT dodge, GIAS play the same game and have done for many years. Basically they raise an invoice for work that you have “claimed” for in that billing period and then pay it. Only NESN often don’t! This way they are not paying VAT on the rejections etc., neat accountancy trick and it plays merry hell with everyone’s understanding of the system.

The problem is that the way NESN pay invoices is extremely confusing, deliberately in many ways I believe so you end up with a situation, due to the advance balance thing, where you do not know what’s been paid and what has not. You cannot interegate the NESN Call Manager system and get a realistic assesment of what calls have been paid to you and what one’s have not due to this as many that show as unpaid (to NESN) have been paid to the agent. Hence, GIAS is easier and simplier to reconcile than NESN’s shit system which is extremely labour and time intensive to reconcile.

That said, they (as far as I know) agree to pay you the calls done on the given date, if they do not then that should consitute a breach of contract.

And, not to put too fine a point on it, it’s just SO fucking cheeky of them what they’ve done to you guys! Paying 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of Coverplan whilst only 60{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of everything else is still not paying the full balance irrespective of how you view it. By doing this all they’re doing is trying to safeguard that everyone pays Connect for spares and continues that work, that’s all!

Interesting news on the other WP, can you spill the beans?

I have just spoken to their accounts department asking when the 40{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} balance will be transfered, they can’t tell me, they are working on it is the only answer I can get, no time no ammount.

Suffice to say they will be on stop as of Monday morning.

Yes you’re right it does break the terms of the contract IMO.

The only way to do it is check EVERY call at payment required status to see whether it has been rejected, theoretically all others older than one month should have been paid to the member, what an absolute nightmare, especially for the bigger members (oooh missus) when they have many hundreds at ‘payment required’.

TBH I’m not the least bit interested whether NESN have been paid by the retailer or not, only whether I have, but hey, that’s too logical for an accountant to work out 😉

Got the email from Jo Loach telling everyone they’re getting paid on Monday, I wonder why that is then? 😉

Anyway, I’m putting them on stop and not supplying any call info from Monday, bollocks to it, since they’ve not paid their account with us. See how they like not getting answers about calls.

    Stupid sods.
