Hope this is acceptable (and will cause minor chaos). Replied as follows:
“Hi Simon,
Thanks for getting in touch. I have to say that I’m pretty well snowed under
as things currently stand. I have a business to run, and UKWhitegoods is
taking up a lot of the free time which I have.I presume this new site is some sort of commercial venture with Miele – the
slogan is certainly theirs – so, given that I help run UKW for altruistic
reasons for the greater good of the Independent Repairers, I must decline
for that reason as well. You may wish to consider talking to UKW member “Beever”, who is ex-Miele in
my understanding. “Fasetester” in Ireland is also an interesting character.Miele is not popular amongst the independents. Tech support is non-existant
and spares can best be described as larcenous in their pricing policy. That
said, the quality of the product is undeniable. Personally, my dealings with
the company over the years can best be described as “Being looked at down
the nose”. Not a happy situation.Further to the above points, I am involved in the launch of UKWs new range
of high-end products – there will be a conflict of interest, I’m afraid.Good luck with it,
Chris Chantrell,
Proprietor,
Quality Washer Repairs.”Beever I’ll nail one of these days as a theiving rogue and Fase, well I just couldn’t resist.
Chris.

New one today, read from the bottom up.
SimonC wrote:This would be considered to be pure advertising Simon from our point of view and would carry a fee to have this done. I know that you’re obviously trying to use free social media to promote Miele’s agenda but, frankly, I can’t see any benefit to UK Whitegoods in my helping to promote someone else’s website.
Sorry Simon but you get paid to do what you’re doing for Miele, we’re not being and so I can see no reason for us to help Miele who have offered us no help and pay for no advertising.

To be fair, that’s a press release from Miele.
However, just to p1ss them off there’s now a banner advert and a spares map there. π
Incoming links are okay, can’t do much about it as they haven’t copied any content at all, only linked to it.
