    Re: News

I am getting a bit fed up with the not-so-veiled accusations of some impropriety with the warranty fund from, frankly, idiots that do not have the information to make such accusations nor apparently the ability to use a calculator.

Service costs from service runs about £1500 per month.

Spares, about £800 or so per month.

Sales for the past two years yielded £19,500 approx.

There’s two point five salaries that equate to around £3500 per month.

    Then shipping costs.

Now, if someone can tell me how that there’s going to be any money left I’d be very grateful.

People seem to think that, just because that the machines were “so expensive” that we or I roll about in bales of cash every night, it is most certainly not so.

ISE made less from a sale that the retailers did.

Cost price of a machine is about £550-650 depending on the wind of exchange rates. Dryers not much less but a little, dish more expensive than the base W256.

So if you want to question it, first learn how to use a calculator then crunch some numbers.

Figure on sales of around about 300-370-ish units in the past two years.

Before that perhaps about 30-40 per month.

There’s no big pile of cash, never was.

People just got it into their heads that ISE was loaded and, it was not.

After you reach the inevitable conclusion that it was a pile of crap that sucked money into it like a black hole, work out who paid to keep it going for the past year or two.

So if anyone here or anywhere else wants to take legal action or whatever, bring it the hell on because I’m right in the mood for a fight on this front with idiots that clearly have not a *******ing clue what they’re talking about.

    Re: News

How is it that some random yells fraud it must be true and Ken gets more questions?

Surely we all know how Ken crosses his T’s and dots his I’s that it will not be the case so why cant the random just be brushed off for being full of s**t.

How many times must what went on be explained? I’m pretty thick but even i get it completely. At least we got the answers not like ISDAL or MFI when it was just silence… oh and shafted for tons of cash too as they didn’t do what ISE have done and see it coming and pull the plug to limit the damage.

    Re: News

I have tried Nigel, as best I could, to bring ISE to a conclusion in the best way possible. I fully understand and accept that this will not meet with universal approval and, it will not suit everyone.

But, it is what it is.

As I have said, I can most certainly be accused and, rightfully accused, of not shutting it down sooner as the reality is that ISE should have hit the stops a year or more ago at best.

If anyone did take any sort of legal action and it went in front of a judge I’d accept and expect a dressing down for not closing it sooner.

    For anything else, no.

I could have and in light of the cr4p now, probably should have shut it down a while back but I allowed it to soldier on in the vain hope that somebody would take it on or there’d be a miracle that would save it. However, anyone looking at the financials of the business does not exactly have their interest piqued.

No miracle, no takers, no money… end of ISE.

But let me make this abundantly clear, as crystal clear as I can possibly be…

    ISE – DID – NOT – MAKE – MONEY – AT – ALL

For the past three years it has lost, in order on figures I have and preliminary:

    2012: -£20,000

    2013: -£50,000

    2014: -£30,000 or more

At least a loss of £100,000 or more in three years.

The first two you can verify easily with Companies House, knock yourselves out as that’s what was lodged to my knowledge.

In the face of that and, now you know how many machines were being sold, does anyone think that there’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow here?

I’ve taken the hit on it, I can take no more and I’m really sorry about that but that’s where it is and what happened. And, for doing that I get the sh1t I’ve had over it.

Another time when I wonder why I even bother.

    Re: News

Hi Ken, I have to say that I for one am very disappointed at the demise of ISE, despite the differing views we had about a certain machine. I bought into the concept of a better quality machine that would last a lot longer than most machines produced for the domestic market. A lot of my customers bought into it too, but I suppose the majority of consumers only look at the cost short term. I hope to retire by age 65 so I stopped pushing sales earlier this year because I couldn’t see ISE being able to honour the 10 year guarantee to customers in my area. Little did I know eh!
I am not bitter towards you or ISE and hope things sort themselves out quickly.
Hopefully we can get information on Asko parts that are suitable for use on the ISE range, or even ISE parts, to keep them in service

    Best regards
    Alan

    Hi Ken
just picked up on this, as much as this is bad news for the customers, its not a new situation, shit happens and sometimes you cant keep taking shit just because others want you to.
Its a shame and life moves on, I have a customer in today whos 1406 has failed, we will try to fix it and if we cant we will do them a deal on a new machine, we have explained that ISE have ceased trading and not a lot anyone can do, same response when all the others have gone pop.

You tried ken and along the way ISE didn’t get as much support as it could have done, but there is nothing anyone can do when credit is pulled and t&c’s have been rewritten.
