KeymasterJust floating it…
What do you want?
Cheap isn’t happening BTW. 😉
Choices are…
1400 washer, 5 year warranty, circa £750 price point but full on Asko build.
Dishwasher, you all know my feelings on that one. Asko build the best DW in the world bar none, end of.
And the rest, I’ll leave up to you to fly.

A condensor dryer to compliment the AW23 would be good Ken

We’re delisting the AW23 Andy. 😕
TBH the only dryers you can dry branded are White Knight, that we looked at two years or more ago and most of the guys said “no” to or, the Gorenje one that Bosch use to which we got pretty much the same reaction.
Outside of that there’s the Asko we use and, that’s about it really.
No doubt we’ll get a Chinese option soon though. 😉

IMO I dont think there is a need for another washer only £200 less than the 10 with 1/2 of the warranty it is not worth it.
We do need a freestanding dishwasher with the option if possible of building in. Maybe thats too much to ask, but if anyone can do it the Swedes can:lol:
This way we have all cleaning products covered, just the refrigeration to get 😉

Washer, general consensus is that there is a need.
Freestanding and integrated are totally different beasts Steve which means two lines. Although there may be something clever there.
Refrigeration is just a bag of hurt wrapped in pain.

I think the built in market should be avoided, IMO there wont be enough sales to justify the expense, if Asko can produce a good looking freestanding dishwasher that might be a seller .
Looking at the 1607 I think if there was an option of supplying a 2 year and 5 year guarantee version it would sell a lot more. If Joe public looks in the shop and sees that we have the confidence to supply a washer with a 10 year guarantee but baulks at the price he would probably go for the same machine with less of a guarantee and be happy that he spent less.

KeymasterIndeed, hence the thought of a lesser version with a lower warranty, i.e. 1400rpm with a 5 year warranty.

I think the cheaper wahsing machine option would have been good in the days of the previous 10, ie. a lower spec without the drop down door but with the door having gone anyway I fear the lower spec one will look too much like the higher spec one and will “price” the cost of the extra warranty and 200 odd rpm.

Definately the dishwasher. If it can be designed freestanding with a built in option it would give ISE the product that no other manufacturer can currently offer.

I have no trouble in selling/installing Bosch Dishwashers at £550 to £600 a go.
I’m sure if there was a better option out there for not too much extra I wouldn’t have any trouble moving some.November 19, 2010 at 11:57 am #336284jeremy

I could shift a few B/I dishwashers if the price was right.
As for a lower price Asko build why not offer the same machine with cosmetic changes but with a 10 year parts only warranty?
It would remove insurance rejections as the repairer would collect labour on every call including blockages and would shut up the muppets on the public forum, although perhaps not as I think one of them is looking for a “news story”

If “mbooth” buys a Miele, he is going to encounter much the same. :rolls:
