    i suppose they have internally identified a training need ..lol

    i would guess as you said other industries will have the same issues.

    …peanuts – monkeys maybe its time for manufacturer’s etc to cough up a better rate

    Not just them.

    To attract talent you need to make it at least compete.

    You wont get Engineers when the labour rate is not much higher than that of unskilled labour.
