It looks like either fate or luck has fallen into our direction. A relative is getting a new washerdryer although there isn’t anything wrong with her old one. They said that we can have the old one, which will replace our duff Hoover, which at it’s age, there is no point trying to repair it. So a new washer, free and it dries too, the only downside is that, dare i say the word- it’s an Indesit. The WIDL126. As far as we know, they haven’t had any trouble with it, and i know how absymal Indesit’s quality is, but truthfully what is this machine like?

    Re: Oh no!

Type ‘widl126’ into the “Search” facilty and select for this forum only. Quite revealing…….

Yep, that sounds right, i’ll just have to trust it. I can’t believe that we’re going to have an Indesit in the house, a turn to the darkside- getting mindwashed by the enemy.

What are they like for effciency, they more energy saving than our Hoover and are they noiseyer than our Hoover?

    Re: Oh no!

Certainly more energy efficient as far as washing goes. Short product life negates that though.

They can be quite noisy and bouncy on spin due to rather feeble shock absorbers. These also have a habit of breaking through the chassis floor.

Still, if it’s for free, enjoy it while it lasts 😀 .

Will certainly do that Penguin thanks for the advice. I some how feel like part of me has been turned to the darkside.

Guess we will have to trust it untill we get a new one.

It’s missing a detergent drawer front, the start button and the instructions, do you do the spares here and where can i get the instructions (despite it looking easy to me, my folks aren’t as quick with technology, they can only just set the videorecorder.)

User book – C00110275 – Indesit have not joined the enlightened and made them downloadable.
Panel and handle – C00110282 – control panel and drawer front as a pair I’m afraid.

Drop a line to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for prices and ordering.

    Re: Oh no!

Can you not read Suedehead, they’ve had it for a couple of years and its never broken down on them. My old Hoover is kinda great but we’re not getting a new Hoover, they’re not even British, they’re Italian, just like this Merloni job we’re getting.

And, they’ve even been using it for a commercial purpose too, for sanitising the aprons and towels they use for their bar as well as their many clothes.

Yeh, which it is, try the search, and type ‘Hoover Overheats’ then you’ll see. That was a replacement 15 years ago for the same machine which did the same thing.

    Re: Oh no!

you claim to have had that machine for 15 years not bad, then why do you slag them off?

    Re: Oh no!

Because hoover have gone downhill eversince candy bought them out, i’d consider buying another hoover, if it was actually a ‘hoover’
