Yea point taken,just seems a shame that UKW cannot generate revenue for advertising ie why give prime time space away for free, they get enough for free, tech info etc.

UKW is here to promote the indies, to give them a corporate look if they like, to share information, to do stuff for them that, in turn, supports the site, which also supports us being able to devote the countless hours we do to it. We’re here to stop us all from being shagged over by WP’s, insurers, manufacturers and any other twats that want to p1ss on our parade. We try to raise rates, we try to funnel work, we try to steer people towards using us…
Do I really have to go on… and on… and on… like some bloody old Ariston commercial? Only I do go on forever about it!
Basically, if it helps the independent repairers, it’s good. If it doesn’t, it’s bad.
It’s not hard you know. 😉

P.S. “bad” is treated by me as all “bad” should be when it comes to the indies, as in, don’t f/ck with my people as I bite and, I bite feckin’ hard!

At the end of the day….. Although I do wonder why we’re here sometimes. Might have to start doing the lottery again.

Mr Bond’s comments have been neutered by me. I’m not having that crap floating around although I have saved the text in case the twat gobs off later.
What Dave didn’t tell you was that he produced only a couple of invoices, one from RS for some resistors and the other from eSpares, both paid CC at the point of purchase and that there is NO record of his company anywhere… Yell, Scoot, Companies House… all blank. I know as I bloody checked it! 😀
Dave and I discussed it and, given the way that the emails came in (originally asking me for help with his Zanussi washer), the tone, the lack of supporting proof and the posts he’d made up to that point that we would deny trade access, which I did.
He’s obviously still in a huff.

Noted Ken and I wasn’t having a pop at the indies as you should know, was just trying to input an idea to more revenue for UKW.
Will keep an eye out for James later on 😀
