PUBLIC LIABILITY INS QUOTES

Any of you kind gentlemen know of an insurance company that may be able to beat a quote of £700.00 for 5m PLiability.We have only 2 engineers inc myself.Any help greatly appreciated.

Not really a comparison as I am a one man operation and don’t do gas but I switched to AXA this year and my premium is £89.25 for £2m cover with £250 excess.
Never made a claim in my life. Don’t know if that makes a difference.

I use MMA Insurance. I found they were competetive and the excess was just £100. My cover isn’t as high as your looking for but might be worth contacting for a quote.

Insurance quoteline based in Blackburn have got most of my business for van and pub liab. Theyr’e on 0870 607 8683 or http://www.insurancequoteline.net. I’ve been pretty impressed with them, and they do some good package deals, ie my van and the car (got the no claims on the van to keep the cost down, and then a cracking deal on the car with nil no claims) and complete retail and liability in one!!!!! 8)

My AXA renewal notice came in yesterday. The premium has ramped up to £146 👿 ……and they have shifted the goalposts by increasing the excess from £100 to £250 😥

So after shopping around I have got the same cover from http://www.assure-uk.co.uk for just £112. It seems though that all insurers have put up the excess now to £250!!

So be even more careful not to tear the lino or chip the worktops guys as that simple Hotpoint motor brush job will really cost you 😯

My Co-op policy has been £110 for years now, and there is no excess to pay.

I have always dealt with a local agent who called every 12 months for the premium ( £110 for £2m cover, no excess) sadly the Co-op have decided to do away with agents and now use other means to collect premiums.

….it’s just that i’ve changed insurer to MMA, costs £82 with £100 excess for £2m cover….the excess does increase to £500 if using heating/burning equipment but as I so rarely do a re-gas these days I took the gamble 😉

….and it was

so easy to complete online, had a confirmation call from them the following morning, and the schedule arrived the day after 🙂
