seems my rep hadn’t bothered to set up my password on the system, they are looking into it now.
Not only that but the .net wotsit has upset my pc’s initial and from standby log in which, being the only user is not what I wanted. All sorted now but its a bit much for a company after our business to expect us to have all this hassle.June 4, 2008 at 12:52 pm #253534Phidom

I didn’t know you could order direct from Qualtex, I thought they only dealt with their agents such as Crum & Sons in Glasgow. When I first started out I used to get my spares from Crums but half the time they would send the wrong stuff. 😕

The Scottish Rep is Paul on 07789695709
By the way if you want stuff at the prices quoted in the “Summer 2008 Offers” brochure, you will need to phone it through because the web site price is considerably more, and doesn’t get adjusted automatically.
Kent staff told me that they weren’t given an opportunity to see the site before it went live. They tell me that had they got the chance they would have corrected some of the glaring errors such as lack of descriptions and no alternative part numbers. But they did assure me that they were working on trying to solve the problems ASAP.

My agent still can’t get me a password, having to fax orders through to them ATM.
To make matters worse an order they sent out to me on the 2nd June has gone missing. I’m sure the number i have been given to ring to track it is an Indian call centre. 😥

ParticipantKent left two messages for me to call them back. When I did they asked me to to make up my own password then and there. I don’t know why Kent should be looking after me. I am in the Skye area. But I do appreciate it.
I think it was Kirsty that sorted things out for me try, giving Sittingbourne a call and forget the agent.

Thanks to information received it appears that I can no longer access Qualtex spares via the wholesaler I have used for over 15 years, DS Supplies from Stoke.
I will have to apply for a new online account and deal direct with Qualtex, I ‘may’ get better prices, that remains to be seen but it is a shame to have to give up a working relationship with a company and individuals that I have come to know very well indeed.

Have been using since Mon 02/06/08. Few teething problems 1st day but fine since then. Prices all up on Spareslink prices but had a moan and they got adjusted, probably depends on what you spend. MK

Would have thought Qualtex, of all companies, would learn from the mistakes of Parts centre/ Wash vac. I, along with many others, gave up on using them when their new fantastical web odrering system superceeded the Euroealm system which Qualtex took on to use to great effect.

You can still use your supplier but you will need your own direct account to access the web site, Spareslink can still be usedfor reference.
