OK,
So Martin are you ready?
We ain’t writing a bible, we ain’t writing War and Peace, we are picking our noses waiting for you.
If you ready, I’ll speak to you and Penquin on Thursday cause were a tad busy this week wit ‘other stuff.
The agenda is to trial run auto’s. So we can toss it around and see how it goes…make mistakes and learn from them, learn to write better.
Whats required is:
Think of a new recruit to your own business(from this point onwards…any reference to Dixon is barred, think for yourself). How do you want the recruit to remember what you teach him….well a first step could be the theory behind what a washer does, and how it gets from step 1 of a cam chart to step 60. Easy …for us, not so easy if you know nowt

Martin called you a bastard before now Kev, just not in public! :rotl:
Anyway, I think that this is worth a punt and, if bugger all else, it puts UKW on the map for at least thinking and moving in this direction which is no bad thing at all IMO.
As Kev says we’re a bit busy this week. Plans, scheming, getting shit together and all that kinda crap. 😉
Mark I’m sure you’ve goten a gist of what we’re about here and what we are ultimately aiming at from this. Sod Dixon, he may well be clever and he may well have shown us the way but it remains up to us to hammer the message home and carry it off to a large extent.
And here’s the apology…
I’ve been really busy the past few days with family stuff. T had a close relative die, Xmas is round the corner and I had concerts in place to go to, including one tomorrow night. I could live without it all, but I’ve little option given that my time spent on UKW/work is so vast I can hardly complain when called upon to do other things.
It’s all about balance and, thus far, UKW has taken more than its fair toll.

😳 Bloody hell, that’ll teach me in future not to type a reply on UKW after coming back from a late pub lunch and a few jars of ale. 😳
It should have read…..CHEEKY BASTARD…..
Are well, you got the gist even though I was pissed 😀

Mark, we all suffer from “head-up-arse” syndrome except Martin as he’s nearing retirement, even closer to it than the other old bald duffer is. :rotfl:
However, as an aside, I’ve ordered all Dixon’s books and I’ll have a look see what he’s been up to of late. As I said the first issues of them were shall we say, not the best, but I believe that they have been updated. If nothing else it will allow me to see the language and layouts used.
He covers dishwashers, washer dryers and of course washers as well as a few other bits an bobs, but I do think that these will be very, very generic but we’ll see. What I don’t understand is that, beyond the basic concepts, what’s to explain that isn’t pretty manufacturer specific?
