The following has been or is being done in light of Adrian’s rants:

His email for the WTA will be terminated and access to it removed.

He has been removed from the WTA website completely. His user account deleted and also his member listing. He now has no access to the site whatsoever.

Both the admin and press emails will have new passwords issued to prevent him from having access to them.

His account on UKW is now moderated due to four separate violations of the posting guidelines last night.

He will be, at the earliest possible time, removed from the engineer search.

I will not forward his name for any work offers to anyone.

He will be removed from both the ISE and Amica lists today.

Other actions may follow.

You may not know this but Ade hasn’t paid any WTA subscriptions since 2010, we only discovered this as a fact yesterday. Hence his removal, at his behest, from the WTA completely.

He also still holds outstanding debt with UKW for a laptop bought for WTA business and partially funded by the WTA. The balance, payable by Ade, has never been settled.

He’s a very silly man for doing what he’s done.

Just learned that all WTA emails may be compromised except the refrigeration one.

All passwords will now be reset. I will advise when it’s complete.

Until then, we do not know what Ade has or hasn’t got access to so please don’t use your WTA emails until we know they’re locked down.

I caution you to tread carefully here.

I have no problem with the majority if what you have done above but playing devils advocate and with my legal head on now, you are at risk of allowing a personal insult affect some of your decisions.

On what basis remove him from the engineer search facility?

On what authority do you remove him from Amica work?

I fully understand removing him from ISE as that is your company and you do as you please with it.

You been accused of being a puppet master, do not accede to the accusation by knee jerk reacting to it, your better than that, I know, the vast majority of members know it and most importantly YOU know it.

Fair points, thanks Carl.

TBH I don’t think he’ll accept Amica work and I don’t know if he did any at any rate.

The engineer search I can as I have no updated documentation, no notification of the change of company name and he has dropped out the WTA as well. Pretty solid on that one. 😉

But for the moment I’m stuff due to the database issues anyway.

Actually, here’s one for you guys to have a think about that I mentioned briefly to Lawrence earlier in a call.

It is quite obvious that Adrian is Mr FME.

It’s also obvious to those of us that were there last year, that he did not react well to being told that the WTA would not endorse FME.

However, when I went digging about I found this page:

It does not say that FME is not endorsed by the WTA.

In the interest of putting some clear blue water there, should the WTA not be asking to have that page and, any reference to the WTA removed from the FME website and any literature?

Given that it was a director of that commercial company that has decided to go on a crusade slagging off the WTA as well as all and sundry, I wouldn’t have thought that to be unreasonable.

I also think that DASA may retract.

You miss my point guys.

Ken taking the arbitary action to remove a section of work from the person in question is likely to be seen from the outside as vindictive and supportive of the allergation being levied.

If however, Amica decide to remove him because he no longer meets the necessary qualification to do the work, then that is a different matter altogether.

Its a pedantic point I know, but I specialise and work in a different environment to you engineers, I have said before, I dont know one end of a screwdriver from the other, but I do know where to sit in Court. I work in a place where being pendantic on such minor points makes the difference between shutting down the argument or facing a long, expensive battle through Court.

It’s your choice at the end of the day, but if this were me, I would get something from the actual WP to say remove him for non compliance BEFORE I removed him from authorised list, because the technical term for doing it is known as a DEFENSE.

I agree. It has to be done in a proper manner.

It is rather unfortunate that T was already on the case (last week) with removing people that hadn’t paid subs. We decided to lay off it due to events over the weekend so as not to appear as if it was a tit for tat thing going on. But his actions have placed him under the microscope.

OK guys I’ve sat quietly in the background and said very little but I think now is the time to do something about Adrian. I switch on this morning to find another load of junk, reiterating the earlier crap and just generally mischief making. It would appear that the two wedding guests that he offended in Kilmarnock had the right method of understanding. Would you all kindly consider removing his access to the site in total – I for one am sick of this idiot 👿

I’m going to reject this message and issue a final warning to him with the sentiments of all the mods made clear.

The reason is that he cannot then come back and say that he didn’t have a chance and that he wasn’t warned. I also want it on record that this is what has been done as, in the circumstances, I feel that is more than reasonable on the part of all of us and UKW.

Ok… The evening before the WTA was formed, a UK Whitegoods Ltd Director approached me and said words to the effect of:
“Hey Ade, we’re setting up a new Trade Association and we want you to be a part of it”. Me being in ‘Nappies’ so to speak in this industry was mighty pleased that someone had ‘Noticed’ me.
The next evening, (This dates back to Sibson 2007), with Kenneth Watt & Lawrence Carey heading the table, the WTA was formed. This was done after several beers and among friends. I speak for myself here, but I went along with it as they knew more than ‘lil’olde me… So hey… I’ll keep in with them!
Anyway… The WTA set off to look after the ‘Independent’ Trade.
All Happy days 🙂
Then… At a meeting in London at the OFT that Kenneth & Myself attended (For the approval of the OFT), Kenneth, whilst making his usual ‘Jibber Jabber’ speeches let something slip. UK Whitegoods Ltd were previously denied OFT Approval because they were a Ltd Company. I of course (Being ‘lil’ olde me) didn’t cotton on to anything at this point, I mean come on… Ade, a Welsh bloke from Cardiff in the OFT with Kenneth Watt, Director of UK Whitegoods Ltd… TBH, I was out of my depth…!
Anyways, we took advice from the OFT and off I went to compose a COP for the WTA. I completed the COP (As it is on the WTA Website now) and submitted that to Kenneth Watt for approval. Again, another trip to the OFT. This time, Lawrence Carey attended too, as it seemed that they were listening and had acknowledged the COP I had presented. Again, we left with advice and I followed their advice to ‘Official Application’ Stage.
So… Months later, I get an email from the OFT stating that the COP had passed pre application assessment and had been recommended for formal approval. YEY! At last!!!!
Next WTA Meeting…! We were all upstairs, drinking beer & celebrating the first WTA Meeting that had been so far the best, when someone said… “Can we congratulate Ade on the COP progression”… Everyone cheered, but then… The very same Director that ‘Head Hunted’ me at Sibson in 2007 kinda lost the plot! He sat there and reminded everyone that it was UK Whitegoods that had been driving the COP and we should never forget it…! That was the first time I thought ‘Uh Oh’…!
After the above event, I questioned Lawrence Carey (WTA Chairman) about the connection between the WTA & UK Whitegoods Ltd. As I was prepared to give up my time & effort for a new TA, but not for something that was for the benefit of Kenneth Watt. Lawrence assured me that this link would be broken and the WTA would be a complete, stand alone TA. I was happy with that! (Smile). At the same meeting, The WTA agree to buy me a MacBook Pro to the cost of £1800. I agreed to pay half. Lawrence had a MacBook Pro bought for him too, but I don’t know the details of any repayment in his instance. (We’ll come back to this later).
I’m going to miss out on lots of minor stuff here as the thread will take 3 months to read, instead of 2 weeks!
We get to 2010. The WTA Team meet at Kens UK Whitegoods Ltd base and we start work on the WTA Website re-design. Since the WTA Website had this really good function that enabled members to be seen online, I put it to the whole Team that the WTA spend some money on advertising the WTA Website. Initially, the WTA Team were behind the idea, until Kenneth Watt jumped in and said no! He said it would cost at least 5K Per Month to even get an impression on the web, so we put it to bed as a no. However… I couldn’t understand this…! So I left his office thinking ‘How do we get to a level where DA Repairers can be seen online’? ‘How can we do something so the members on the WTA Website are not just there to rub DASAs nose in the fact the WTA have more members than them? (That’s for another thread)!
I then thought of developing a website, that could include other Trades. After all, if Ken is right, we need to generate enough ‘Spending Power’ as he put it to get a presence on the web. So I thought of FindMyEngineer! I rang Lawrence and immediately told him of my idea. He seemed very keen, then I rang Ken. He said ‘Forget it’. It wont work…! Then Lawrence changed the tune too! Again, I couldn’t get my head around it so I decided to go it alone.
2011… I plan to launch a website that is designed to give people like us more of a chance to be found online. I inform Lawrence of this and requested that I present it to the WTA on the night before the WTA Meeting to WTA Team Members. The ‘Presentation’ (If you can call it that) was a disaster! Nobody listened, nobody cared. I left the room while the WTA Team discussed, then came back in to a speech from Lawrence saying how me being involved in FME and on the WTA Council might create a ‘Conflict of Interest’. Ok… Now I’m fuming…! A ‘Conflict of Interest’? HUH??? We have a Director of UK Whitegoods Ltd on the Team, and that doesn’t be seen as a ‘Conflict of Interest’? We have another Director of UK Whitegoods Ltd losing the plot as per above over the COP… That doesn’t create a ‘Conflict of Interest’? Anyway…
I accept the choices & go home. I then wanted to ‘FORMALLY’ question Kenneth Watt regarding his ‘Influence’ in the WTA. The conversation got ‘Heated’ shall we say and Kenneth Watt, threatened to withdraw all resources from the WTA. We quickly (Me included) backed down, apologised and we left it as that.
Later in 2011, I launched FME. I asked the WTA permission to start a thread in the WTA Forums and they said yes! So I did.
So, a Year on… 2012. Ken has changed UK Whitegoods ‘Search@’ to ‘FindAnEngineer’ and we’re all rocking up to the Feb Meeting. What a meeting that was a? The best yet!!!!!!!!! We all leave incredibly happy!
Then we get home to be re-aquatinted with DrDill in the FME Thread in the WTA Forums. The thread had been trouble free for over a year, now it’s looking like a ‘Bitch-Fight’! I was instructed by the WTA Team (Ken & Lawrence), not to reply as he clearly wanted a debate and I’d fuel his fire.
I ‘Obeyed’ this, until Sat 17th March! I’d been out for the Rugby (We won the Grandslam, yes I’m Welsh) and had got home to see the bullshit that was occurring in what I thought was my thread. I then disobeyed Kenneth. I replied…! OH MY GOD. Yep… I’m telling you, I replied…! I replied to DrDill!
The next thing I know, it’s 00.50 and I have an email from Kenneth Watt saying he’s deleted my post and I’m to stop being a f***ing muppett…?! (I since sent my original post to DrDill and even he agreed it shouldn’t have been deleted) So I TXT Kenneth Watt on ‘Whatsapp’ (iPhone4 App) and we spent an hour or so slagging each other off and calling each other names. Haha…! Haha…! Stop being a silly f***er & go to bed, speak tomorrow…! That’s what I thought anyway…! Untill………
I wake to an email from Kenneth Watt sent to the WTA Council stating that he gives notice (For the 2nd time) to withdraw ALL resources from the WTA, including web hosting, Forum hosting & ‘Accounting’ etc
I then get a reply from the WTA Chairman stating that without UK Whitegoods Ltd resources, he can’t see the WTA as ‘Viable’ (Go on Lawrence, I dare you to contest that statement). I then see emails from another Team member stating ‘I think we should ask for Ades ‘resignation’. Then another that questions ‘Who is more important’…! Ok, so now I’m mad… What has mine & Kenneth Watts private argument got to do with the WTA??? Oh yeah… It’s about ‘Power’. I pi55ed him off, so now he has to throw his hand. So he aims his hand at the WTA………………!
I resign. I do NOT want to be a part of ANYTHING that is run or ‘Controlled’ by Kenneth Watt. The simple FACT that he withdrew all resources from the WTA and then the Chairman is questioning its ‘Viability’ confirmed to me that the WTA is NOT an Independent Trade Association.
Further from that, Kenneth & I argue further. I post a truth in the General Forum, that’s met with aggression and then I’m ‘Moderated’. Which basically means that I can not post in my own words I have to edit my posts until they are deemed fit to post as per Kenneth Watts opinion.
Then…..! Yes there is a ‘Then’…!
Kenneth Watt then emails my partner in FME with ‘Cut n Pasted’ comments that I made to him in the Trade Forums asking for FMEs comments on one of its Directors ‘Acting’ like this as he was going to publish a News Article & contact other Trade Associations. Kenneth Watt didn’t post the whole thread in the email, just my ‘Select’ Comments. After clarification, it was confirmed that FME has never posted in UKW Forums as a Company, nor has ever posted to him personally and the matter went quiet.
We come back to the £1800 Laptop that the WTA paid for (Your Money) I emailed Kenneth in 2010 shortly after receiving the Laptop clearly requesting that the WTA Invoice me for my half. (See below). No Invoice from the WTA arrived.

However, I received an Invoice from UK Whitegoods Ltd for £900. I questioned this and was told by Kenneth Watt ‘I’ll get Tracey to sort it’. That’s it. No more said on the matter… UNTILL….
I stood down, argued with Kenneth Watt and then was sent a demand by Kenneth Watt threatening me with a Statutory Demand issued upon myself personally from UK Whitegoods Ltd & My personal Bankruptcy. This was his way of handing ‘Power’ down on those below him. I replied accordingly indicating that he had his facts wrong and that I would seek Legal advice and get back to him. I did NOT owe UKW £900 etc but he still continued to demand his way (As Image below). However, in this instance, he obviously doesn’t understand the difference between the WTA (Whitegoods Trade Association) and UK Whitegoods Ltd.

These are brief summaries of SOME of my experiences whilst a Team Member of the WTA.
On this note, I ask you… Is the WTA Independent? Or is it Kenneth Watt / UK Whitegoods Ltd in disguise?
