I think the thread Bosch fridge freezer problem in the refrigeration forum should be removed. Its recently been resurected and is encouraging any old leads to be shorted on the module. Didnt want to do it without a second opinion.

    Re: remove thread?

I reckon someone with any fault on any Bosch Fridge is going to read that and start joining leads together. Just thought it went a bit too far for public advice.

    Re: remove thread?

Ah – if you keep reading back there’s about 10 different threads all leading to wires being joined up! Doubt we’d get them all…….. Time for a carefully worder article perhaps?

    Re: remove thread?

I think some of that information has been gleened from another site, how did “The kit will short out two wires” get to “Cheers, I shorted out pin 1 and pin 2” as BSH Man didn’t tell him.

It’s more a case of the public advising each other to be honest.

    Any other thoughts anyone ?

    Dave.

In case he comes back to anyone else, I have deleted a post from Cornflakes (Graham) advising a punter to test for power at the fan motor of his Hygena oven……..

How can I “unsticky” a post? I tried to do that to the AEG config code post in trade tech but couldnt work out how.

Just edit it and you should see the options along the bottom, just checkboxes.

    Re: remove thread?

I rather liked Gegsy’s tongue in cheek reply. To be honest I found parts of the OP’s first and indeed subsequent posts to be, condecending, dismissive and somewhat rude.

Why is when someone says ” I don’t wish to offend you but” they then go and do just that. 😥
