Sudeep is the guy that just made all the link (so long as they’re not dead or wrong) open in new tabs. 😉
He was testing as he’s the developer for the site and works here.

By eck John, you have been busy. 😀
The one thing I do find frustrating is that on the old platform when a post had been deleted you got a ‘post does not exist’ warning.
I have just followed 6 e-mail notifications and it takes you the the thread, so you scroll down to the bottom just in case you might miss something to find no new posts. 😥

5.00 A.M. and the wife was snoring 👿 so I logged on and found the bugger had posted 38 spam messages. Is there a way of deleting all posts from a spammer at once???

I’ve been looking for a way to assign the one click ban, which nukes the sods, to the mods but as yet I haven’t found a way to do it as it’s an admin module. 😕

The number of spammers has gone down but the quality has certainly increased, the amounts that each one posts is prodigious. 😥

Methinks mikeday0800’s repeated ‘bumpimg’ of the 0800 Repairs thread is tantamount to spamming.
Could we not rename the thread so that 0800 repair does not keep showing every time he bumps it?

I think new user Padraig18 is a caution, three posts in different fridge/freezer threads and one in the SEBO vac forum mentioning his web site. No links as yet but his ISP ‘appears’ to be in India. 😕

There have been a couple spammers getting under the radar recently, just banned and deleted a huge post full of crap and 5 minutes later the same heap of garbage was posted again with a different username.

The same stuff still being posted in that Hoover thread. I noticed that Ken had zapped another one last night and Carl has just beaten me to the trigger to delete another. I have banned the latest username and have also deleted the whole thread as they seem to keep coming back to that one. 😕
There was nothing of any real importance in it, just our ‘friend’ paulwma asking questions.
The IP may well be spoofed but I made a note of this last one in case admin can block the IP’s. It was 188.143.234.21, it resolves to the British Virgin Islands (alledgedly) :rolls:
Jim.
EDIT. I found the Ban IP’s tool and have banned that particular IP.
Wasn’t sure how to block a group from the same ISP.
