Totally gratuitous bump.
It’s been a bad day – battery cooked itself in the van and looks like it’s done the alternator as well.
Just wanted to share………

Not much better here. first call yesterday was scheduled to take up most of the morning for a WMA drum rear half job, customer was out.
Second call this morning at the behest of a kitchen fitter to a tumble dryer a fair distance away.
I asked him if it was built in and how easily did it come out, “no problem” says he.
Couldn’t budge the bloody thing, a large hammer will need to be applied to the front of the units which is not within my remit. 😈
Even though I was snowed in on Tuesday I have been out every day since.
UPS made a delivery on Monday but I have had nothing from Masterpart ( City Link) for over two weeks now. 😥
Delivery of one order was promised for yesterday but didn’t show. :rolls:Cheesed off Jim, still chesty as well.

had to make a 35 mile round trip to DHL depot for my orders as i (or customers anyway) was fed up waiting. On the way back, in Megane, massive rock lauched from oncoming truck hit windscreen leaving a chip far too large to repair.

Grrr – it was the alternator. Big bill.
It’s all obviously Martin’s fault. He’ll be insufferable now that his beloved Reading have beaten Liverpool.

In the absence of Martin, I have a copy of the test procedure wanted here shall I mail it out to those who request it?

Didn’t want to start a new thread when this one will suffice.
I do hope I have not stepped out of line by posting up the ‘Simple PCB repairs thread.
I have lost count of the number of Hotpoint/Indesit machines that I have either BER’ed or referred back to the Indesit Company for the ‘all lights flashing ‘ fault in the past two years.
To think I could have cured all or most of them with a 17p capacitor is at the very least frustrating.
I suppose that EMW & QER will not be happy but even a refurbed board at £40 is a bit steep in this instance.
PS. Martin must be on a long holiday. 😛

*Sigh* Missed all the fun again…. Should we respond to his claim that we Mods and Admins are just a bunch of school kids (Rather than Dan Dares, saving the Universe)?

It took an hour… was unable to resist….. Jameson’s is entirely to blame.
Thought I was quite nice about it, really.
