thoroughly enjoyed it and, as has been mentioned before, great to put faces to names.
excellent meeting and also excellent night on friday, everytime i see cher on tv now i’ll have a chuckle 😆 😆unfortunately, the experience was somewhat spoiled for me, by the total prat who ran into the back of me on the m6.
it looks like his car was totalled and i may be lucky to get mine back 😥

KeymasterI was a bit shaken right enough after hearing Cher the other night… very scary indeed, even the alcohol didn’t numb the pain! 😆

It was a good rewarding couple of days, and yes we are going from strength to strength and out-growing the venue. I will have a think, there are plenty more locations I know of, it is just finding one with a late bar, good food, a conference room and good value for money. A central location helps as well, however Greater Manchester is not unreasonable.
I can suggest one at Ilkeston, Derbyshire, or how about the one D&G use for the Karting at PKI just outside Grantham? There is one at Tormarton just north of the Bath M4 turning, then the ladies can have a day in historic Bath. They will love it.
It was suggested we move around the country a bit, this will encapsulate a few more new faces perhaps. All food for thought. Will work on it when I get back from Italy.
I have to say the staff at Sibson have been very good. You never know after the refurb; they may be able to keep us all accommodated in the future.

Most of the photographs are now in the Photo Gallery, in the Meetings folder then Sibson, September 2005 gallery. I had to leave some out in the interest of retaining a PG certification. 😉
Many thanks to Rob and Bryan for all the pictures as well as everyone there for being good sports for the day.
Video will take longer and I’m not so sure that I’ll ve able to make it a download as the files are not at all small. You may just have to wait for the DVD edition.
The presentations, including a slightly updated version of the special presentation are available for download as PDF files in “Downloads>Meeting Information>Presentations” now. If you were not at the meeting you may want to have a look at that one.

I do hope the pictures are PG for Kevins sake, especially Thursday evening. What will our wives be thinking.
Very good meeting and social activity.
It’s nice to hear good news as you only get to hear bad news very fast through the trade.
I have looked through the picture gallery and some photos of myself look very conspicuous. I was only talking, HONESTLY
Very good and interesting. The presentation was excellent.
Well done guys.Andy G.

Arrrgggghhhh!!! Twas a nightmare ont M6 on Saturday afternoon! 🙁
It looked to me like you stopped off at the drive-through, so you’d be a good 20 min behind me.
There were cars flying off the motorway everywhere; and people slamming into the back of each other. Goatboy was almost scared! It was horrible!
Having seen what you drive, I reckon the others guys car will be wrecked, and you’ll have a dented bumper 😉

I sailed serenely up the M1 then across the M62, 2 hours exactly back to Oldham. I would guess that I could make Pendle from the M62/M66 in around 30 minutes.

Beats those GPS systems, can’t beat being a former boy scout/ army cadet when it comes to route planning. 😆September 27, 2005 at 1:53 pm #127386Martin

Having just got back on the bus after last weekends meeting (some bus companies would’nt accept my pass so I spent many a cold night in bus stations all over the midlands ’til they submitted).
Anyway, the point of this post is that I don’t remember seeing or being introduced to iadom or alf_uckem ??? It would also be so very nice if someone would be kind enough to post names to faces in the photo gallery that I may be so enlightened 😆
Is it me or are Penguin45’s feathers growing longer by the way?
