KeymasterRe: UK Whitegoods Meeting 5
venue not yet decided as Sibson is limited to 70 😆
we had a job getting 40+ in last time, so if your interested in meeting with fellow repairers and the odd drink or two as well then let us know.
New faces will be made very welcome.

I think you would do well to retain the Millers Hotel as the primary location for the next meeting in September. Whilst our last meeting there was a little ‘cramped’ due to the numbers attending AND we even considered using the resturant for greater comfort. The whole place is well regarded by all who attended as excellent accomodation, excellect facilities, excellent food, good cheap drink, easy to get to and above all C-H-E-A-P….!
So, I have a simple idea that will solve the overcrowding issue and still take advantage of their excellent conferencing rooms. Namely to just arrange the seating in ‘Theatre Style” and dispense with the need for all those bulky oversized tables.
A silver projection screen for presentations, a table in the middle to hold the computer/projector. A ‘delegates/presenters’ table alongside the screen, tables near the door for the refreshments, leaving more than ample room for up to 75 to 100 chairs set spaciously around…!!
No problem with Sibson IMHO…

We do have the use of the restuarant if required, which will take 70 people according to Mike the manager.
I may pop up there in the next couple of weeks and see how the refurbishment is going 😉

We have been assured that BB will be installed during the refurbishment, whether they will have WI-FI as well though 😕

Dave.Pity I didn’t think of it, passed the A5 turning twice over the weekend.
Not that way now for a couple of months, but for research purposes, I could see what the score is when back up there.
I do know of one of their regulars that use if for a Family Sunday Lunch quite often, I may give him a call in the week if I remember.

I’m there, if it is possible, of course we’ll have wi-fi as well as a network and an access point, all I need is a single connection point. 😉

KeymasterOkay folks, The Millers at Sibson is booked and that’s where we’re going.
We will need you to let us know that you’re attending the meeting to give accurate numbers for lunch etc. And, if you want a room, book quick as there’s a few people going and a few bits and bobs you may well want to hear at this one. 😉
We always try to go one better at each meeting.

You might do well to reconsider? I would not describe our meetings as “formal” rather they be regarded as relaxed, informative, well organised and groundbreaking with ideas and information.
Many who care about our trade and are the least bit concerned, would do well to at pop their head through the door of the meeting on Friday 23rd September 😀
