Just repaired a couple of dead image links in that old Miele thread that has resurfaced. I hope it is OK to do so. 🙂

Absolutely, I’ve been repairing dead links, images and thread topics as well so they work better with the related thing.

Whats happened to the scrolling feed on the home page?
Jim.
:clown: Just spotted it lower down, don’t often scroll to the bottom of the home page. 😉
Might be me but it seems to load faster.

Well, perhaps. Goalposts maybe.
Everyone’s had a break, enough time to get to grips with the new format and the whining has died down, the bugs fairly well stomped on and so on.
So, I sorta went mental with some of the so-called internet black magic stuff to raise the profile and have started to now exploit the new found “funky bits” I can play with on the new format. After the immediate fires get put out you can afford to spend time extinguishing the embers as it were.
On that note. 🙂
Engineer Search. It’s getting to become more of an “issue” for me. It’s going to be more of an issue for the guys missing calls in the near future as I build the traffic to it and, I will build the traffic to it.
They need to be aware of how to do stuff there, hence the constant harping on about it but, aside from that, it does in some measure become the “hub of the world” for certain things that I have cooking.
I hope it will allow a whole heap of access to things that most repairers would never have dreamed possible not so long ago and, certainly, to a heap of things that on their own they could’ve never dreamed of being able to afford. But, as is my way, I can’t help but push the envelope a little, even if it does take me a little time to line up them ducks, load the ammo… or is that load the ammo then line up the ducks, I never get that right.
The first shots I hope to fire in February at the meeting. Which should be good for a laugh if nothing else. With a bit of luck it’ll p!ss of some, delight a lot and leave the rest wondering… WTF? 😆
The point is there’s a lot more to come from the search and the guys need to get with the program, it’s all I can say for now other than I’ve added some stuff in there that will go live prior to the meeting. So if you can help point the way so that they can access the info and alter their details etc. it would help.
In the meantime, they should also start to see more work from it. I hope a lot more as I hone it.

having problems today moving some topics, can get as far as the “pick destination forum” but the drop down box there is tiny and has nothing to select. was fine around a week or so ago.

😕
Dunno I generally use Safari or Chrome these days. Safari on OSX and Chrome on Windows boxes as it’s faster.
It will likely be a CSS thing with the browser.

It’s the file permissions as we were messing with them last night. I only picked it up a few hours ago as it’s too much to test everything.
