Your absolutley right Chris it was written to help raise the bar and the public perception of the independent service provider.
It therefore appears to be doing it’s job. They say that imitation is one of the best forms of flatery, so in the final analasys we must have done something right.
ATEOTD Ken wrote it, we just dotted the I’s and crossed the T’s but it is nice for UKW to get a mention in dispatches now and then.

Yeah I did write the original draft but I don’t view the charter or COP as it is now as being my work. It was changed, altered and very much refined by the community as a whole and that is part of the reason that I will say quite categorically that eSpares, or anyone else, cannot replicate what we’ve done as a community.
I’m just the gobby bugger that takes the opinions of others and tries to hone them into something that suits as many as possible. Can’t please all the people, so I just concentrate on the guys and sod the rest.
So here’s the thing….
Chris is absolutely right, just spin it to our advantage. What’s the point in getting all huffy about it?
eSpares can’t replicate the repairs@ system as they haven’t the knowledge to do so, haven’t the contacts, sure as hell haven’t the trust and just don’t have the information. Pretty much they had no option but to approach JTM as they’ve royally p1$$ed off CDSL and NESN are somewhere in Nowhere Land from what I can gather. Which pretty much only leaves ISDAL and, more than likely given the industry knowledge that Simon who runs eSpares has, they won’t even know that ISDAL exist.
eSpares I know a bit about, been to see them a couple of times and, TBH, they are simply a bunch of investors/prospectors and this is why I said take the money and run. Sod them, they’d do the same to any of us.
I’ll knock something interesting on it up tomorrow, of course not giving them high quality inbound links that tells it as we see it and being very nice and polite about it all. I like that as it annoys the b4stards more.
