Not enough data on them to form any real opinion TBH.

It’s one of the last of the actual Maytag machines from what I know of it before Whirlpool bought them a couple of years ago.

I’d guess it was based on a US spec and adapted for the EU but what the corresponding US models are I don’t know as I’m not familiar enough with them to say. I do know that there was some news about the Neptune series a while back but it was a fair while ago.

Model completely discontinued some time ago.

    hi dusty,

I had my 1607 delivered today and i have to say that it has lived up to all expectations and more! It really is suberb 😀 None of the pictures i have seen so far have really done it justice, i thought the machine would have a old fashioned ‘miele’ look, but far from it!! I honestly cant stop looking at it TBH :worthy:

The drum really is massive 😯 Some of the 8kgs i have looked at in the shops do not look anywhere near as big 🙂 And so quiet! There are posts on here about how noisy the machines can be, sorry but :con: Washing machine spinning and watching tv, never been heard of here before 😀

    best wishes

Decided to scrap the idea of a Dyson washer, parts are a pig it get and they no longer make bearings for them (which would probably be the first thing that went on my one if I bought)

Id like a 1607 QW but dont have the 949.99 ( 😯 ) to buy one!!

    hi dusty,

That is a shame because when you work it out, if the machine only lasted the 10 years (which would be very unlikely by all accounts) then the 1607 would cost less than £1.80 a week! I paid £914.99 for mine, £899.99 for the machine and £15 for delivery, installation and taking the old machine away, with my loacl ise agent! Good value me thinks 😀

Also the price is relative to the price of a washing machines in years gone by. I got talking to the engineer who came yesterday and he said he paid £294 for a hoover in 1981, so work that out with inflation and wages etc and the ise10 is a damn good value purchase, especially with the 10 year guarantee 😀

Anyhow got to go hang the washing out!

    best wishes
