There are some decent Monty’s , Italian wines can be very good if you get a top Barola or Amarone.
Yours should go down nicely with some good pasta, preferably with a tomato based sauce and plenty of garlic.
Spag bol or Lasagne would fit the bill.
This Monty is one that I have consumed on several occasions,
http://tinyurl.com/yog7fqAlong with many others from all over the world. I don’t know were it all goes but my Laithwaites bill is around £150.00 per month. 😯

Cheers Jim, Its Italian on Saturday night for me then, Must admit though I prefer lighter Italian food, My fave is seafood Linguine with a green salad and fresh ciabatta and as we have an excellent Seafood stall near us it might include Mussels,Crab claws calamari and giant prawns. I could eat it now. 😆

The old standby Pinot Grigio would go down nicely with that, as an alternative to an Italian there are some stunning New Zealand whites, look out for Cloudy Bay, some very nice ones from that area, also Chilean red & white are excellent ATM. Argentinian reds are also worth a look.
And then of course the Aussies, the Rioja’s from Espana and the odd one from the Cape, plus oodles of good French if you take your time to sniff it out, so much to drink , so little time. 😥 8)I’m doing Chicken Chasseur for tea tonight, washed down with an Aussie Malbec, 2005 reserve, followed by a Chilean red, 2004 Clos Centenaire.

Sorry Chris,
Just read your last post. Its years since I was drunk enough to eat a Donna kebab :eeek: But I must say that my local Greek kebab place can do a very good Chicken or Lamb Shish And I have a Customer / Friend who is a Greek Cypriot and the lamb kebabs he makes are to die for. I,am getting hungry again 😆

Nicest customer was a lady who had a problem with her F&P dishdrawer,
the code related to the motor and a common fault was if not used for a while the motor would stick .I told her how to free the motor over the phone and next day she turns up with 8 bottles of my fav beer 🙂Whilst working on his dishwasher another older gent gave me a bottle of champagne when i told him I was recently married.

I’ve just had one lady return my cordless drill which I left at her house.

I turned up at a house just after a Muslim wedding once, and the customer was very happy when I fixed the washer there n then 🙂
I left with (literally) bags of food. Samosas, pakora, and all kinds of unidentified meaty, deep-fried snacks 😀 😀 😀

Last call of the day today. Zanussi FJS1397 noisy on spin. Quickly diagnosed new bearings needed. Quoted her the price, to which she replied “whatever, I’ve got to get it done”. Booked her in for thursday morning. “That’s when I go babysitting the grandkids” says she. But you can get the key from my neighbour, the kettle’s over there, the milk’s in the fridge and the biscuits are in that drawer. I’ll pay you now, here’s the money(in cash), oh and there’s an extra tenner in case it’s more! I did protest thet I don’t need payment until the job is actually done, but she did insist! How refreshing! If only they were all like that……………
