The front door of the house… and wipe your feet on the way out.

I’d let Jim do the washer, he’s the expert on them.
    AND scrap the microwave.

:rotl: You have me bang to rights there Dave, but my customer was desperate and didn’t flinch at the £65 for me fitting a new door handle. I told him that his microwave was BER however due to him spilling a can of Special Brew through the top air vents.

Out of photoshot was a cooker that had what looked like a new strain of penicillin culture growing on the grill door? The shoosh between the hotplates was climbing up the wall tiles and what looked like a dead sparrow jammed in the Vent Axia !

Just another day in the life of a service engineer. :rolls:

I’m with Ally on this one. 😉

It looks like the cockroaches have to have hard hards and H&S instructions to go on site.

    Which one to tackle first?

looking at the dirty state of the appliances .
i hope you don’t get what iv had.

the past six weeks iv been ill lost a few pounds headake virus
ended up in hospital very much IL

after a load of tests iv picked up some sort of dirty virus it could be from a dirty appliance or dirty wash juice.

the blinking virus ended up in my bladder and i lost 2 stone

know I’m using mechanics gloves and a gel hand alcohol cleaner or i will be once i go back still at home at the moment.

so be careful we all know that some of these homes are to dirty to wash your hands even after you complete the job.

i bet loads of engineers have left the job without washing there hands gone 2 miles down the road and been caught short for a leek
then got back in the van and lit a cigarette

    garn

Edit: Moved at your request garn 😉

Blimey garn sorry to hear that mate. Hope you’re feeling well now and will soon be back in action. Your experience a well timed warning to us all to be very careful especially in these sh*te holes we’re forced to work in.

My missus saw the state of me when I got home, I washed and changed straight away of course. However, she did spot that my hands were filthy and that I had a small cut on my finger with no plaster on it. She went ape but I managed to calm her down by reminding her I have had a tetanus jab within the last few years which should hold good for me in many ways. But no excuse for not putting a Band Aid on my finger anyway I guess. 🙁

I’ve ordered a pack of THESE!

    Good investment!
You can get similar ones about half the price elsewhere but dunno whether quality as good. Though Amazon reviews for yours suggest there may be batch variation. As well as these I also carry them yellow gripper gloves for shifting machines about. They’re cheap, tough, and they grip!
    Mike.
