ParticipantMy dishwasher is displaying error codes intermittently. Most common is F6 E3 at end of wash, usually with wash completed. At other times the programme stops with error code F6 E1. Water pressure is fine and filters are clean. These codes seem to have multiple meanings so it is hard to decide what to do. Any suggestions?

F6 E3 low water / suds

ParticipantSeems to have gone bananas. Problems include releasing detergent drawer very early, and showing very long times for wash. It works fine on Rinse cycle, and sometimes on ECO, which seems to be the default. Other times it gives up with one of the above fault codes. It is 8 years old but has had light duty, run every 2 days maximum. Is it worth trying to fix it?

Moderatorthink this is one of the later types of times where there is no mains switch. that means as long as its plugged in the power supply has to remain live waiting for the go signal
I would open the timer and check for blown capacitors ( domed tops)
if you find them this would upset the electronics making it do silly things

ParticipantI assume you mean the main CCB. I recently installed an accessible switched spur but until the unit was always powered up. Yesterday it did a strange cycle but finally ended properly with clean dishes. But it took several attempts.

ParticipantI have accessed the CCB. No sign of any blown capacitors.
I also confirmed it is the exact model available on your web site at £64.96.
What do you think is the likelihood this will fix my problems? They just seem too inconsistent to be caused by a faulty valve or flow sensor.
The symptoms include releasing the detergent just after starting the cycle, failing with F6 E3 somewhere in the cycle, and failing with F6 E1.
Yesterday it eventually completed No. 1 programme, but the times displayed were all over the place, both longer and shorter than expected. Sometimes the 6th Sense stops and time is displayed, but after a few minutes the 6th Sense restarts.August 17, 2022 at 6:56 pm #483275electrofix
Moderatorone of the problems with this game is you can never be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} till you change the part
as a long shot have you checked the wires as they leave the bottom of the door. common to break at that point
as for the timer. did look one machine at random but could not find timer listed. on the small amount of info you have given i got a choice of about 10 different machines

ParticipantThe timer I have is exactly the same as 481010643052 Dishwasher Control Module (ukwhitegoods.co.uk)
Wires in the door were a bit untidy but I did not see any damage. I will keep trying and see about what to do next week.
Thanks for your help so far.August 18, 2022 at 9:31 pm #483277electrofix
Moderatorbe careful

ParticipantThe one illustrated on your web site is absolutely identical with all markings the same as mine. Other web sites show many parts which are obviously different.
However yesterday the machine completed the main programme with no errors at all. Maybe something was loose. Let’s see what happens next time.
By the way, i tried to upload a picture but the size limitation is far too small.August 19, 2022 at 6:58 pm #483279electrofix
ModeratorIt might be correct but you cant be certain till you have checked
when i looked up your model I got about 8 machines and they will differ in some way and it could be software
as for pics you have to host on another site and post a public link

ParticipantJust an update. Machine works OK on rinse cycle and seems to be OK on Eco cycle. Others fail usually to F6 E3.
September 6, 2022 at 9:52 am #483281MikeTB
ParticipantFailed today on the Eco cycle. F6 E3 error. Apparently near or at wash completion.
Notes – when powered on (I now switch off mains after use) displays Eco symbol and 6th sense lights for a few seconds.
Regardless of last programme used it reverts to Eco cycle. It should start in same cycle previously used. This must be due to a timer fault.
Machine details – ADP 720WH – Type WASFS – service nos. 8511570 – 381426014954. Can you identify correct control unit from this?September 6, 2022 at 10:01 am #483282electrofix
Moderator8511570 ????
is there more of this number the above only narrows it down to 60 machines but adding model get it down to 8
