KeymasterI often wonder if i’m just a rubbish salesman (probably ;)), whether this industry is just ludicrously apathetic or there’s just no interest in it. Maybe it’s because UKW provides the vast majority of its content for no fee, I honestly don’t know, but thus far the amount of trade subscriptions has been pretty disappointing.
It can’t be over-prices, I mean £60 a year is not exactly a king’s ransom is it?
Maybe it’s that we’ve not explained all well what it’s all about or what we’re trying to do?
But I’d dearly love to know why you guys/gals aren’t signed up. So if you don’t mind either PM or mail me why if there is a reason or post it here. You won’t do any harm at all, I just want to know if there’s a problem so I can put it right.
The explanation of it all is here, or as much as can be publically posted at least:

So please, if there’s any questions or comments, please let me know.

I suppose we could tell everyone about the exciting things we are doing behind the scences…but its boring.
We could offer them work at whatever their private charge is…..nah too much hassel.
We could offer them rumours 1ST………too upsetting, upsets the cats!!(or is that the bitches?)
We could offer them a good night out and a headache the following day…..done it, got the t shirt.
So, the answer…..lets offer nothing…just sign up, give us your dosh and we’ll do the rest….burp

Sorry ’bout that one John could’nt resist it. 😳
But to get back to the thread, Perhaps people do not full appreciate the total committment that has gone into the building of this site.
Just look at what they get for free.a) free platform to voice their opinions and concerns
b) free link to their own website from the busiest uk whitegoods site
c) free inclusion in the national ukw database
e) free technical advice and assistance
f) free sales counter for their spare stock
g) free advertisments for jobs and work oppurtunities
h) free advice on where to get those hard to come by spares
i) free live chat forum for the trade
j) free off topic forum for the seriously deranged and true confession freaks
k) free e-mail, directories, calender, downloads, faq’s, helpdesk, journal, photo gallery, private messages, reviews, polls, search engine, statistics, news articles, surveys.
And just for that you actually expect people to put their hand in their pockets when we all know that you run this site from the back of a fag packet in your spare time between rounds at your local. 😯
Behave !!

Thanks guys, I was starting to think I was doing summat wrong. 😕
Kev, was that the green shirt that Bridie keeps telling you to get shot off, you know, the one with the rum & coke stains all down it (the other stains I’m not even gonna guess at!) :rotfl:
Sean, you know when you put it like that UKW is damn cheap! 😆
I have taken the “fag packet” approach, maybe it’s wrong but I still strongly believe in the approach that I take with UKW even over a year into the site becoming pretty popular. I also still strongly believe that a lot of what is done here should remian, dare I say it, free. Not just financially, but pretty much from constraint as well other that the “be nice” caveat. So far it seems to have worked and as any good repairer (or fixer ;)) knows, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
John, you seldom miss… nuff said. 😉
Sparkey, you’ll have a reference in the morning once I get to a PC with the current info on it.

OK, this thread has been quiet for ages now….and there are loads of new guys hooked up to the site since we spoke about Subscribing.
A few reminders of what subscribing is about,
A forum to chat in where the unsubscribed can’t see.
The chance to join an exclusive savings club, the annual subscription of £60.00 plus vat is paid into the subscribers account. Whilst the Vat has to be passed to HMG the rest stays in the control of the subscibers. At the moment the account is in credit at 2K+ and the subscribers are in control.
For your info I am accountable to administer the funds on the subscribers behalf, with Kwatt being signortary to it.UKW puts the revenue from Google and Amazon into this account to, swelling the fund for free.
Whats the point of saving up the money…..well thats for subscribers to debate and its an item that will be on the agenda for Sibson in September.
Theres a few more benefits if you read previos posts in this forum, however there is more to come, we are only just getting into our stride, throughout this year the return on your annual subscription should be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} per transaction, interested?

I’ve just read the article relating to this (see Ken’s original post) and some of it is now slightly out dated and needs a bit of a re-write.
In the meantime, if there’s any questions on this, an email to admin@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get the answers you need 😉

I work for Del and we are proud to have tee shirts with our company name and our own name on the front, and we are very proud to have the ukwhitegoods logo and web address on arm.
