    http://www.hilton.co.uk/coventry

Main meetng is FRIDAY 24th September

Room rates are again held at £65 for a double exec room B&B single or double/twin, so for those who want to cut the costs down share..

Coffee and buffet lunch will be provided.

Is there any further news/details on this as I have never been before and would like to go. I don’t need to book a room. Can I just turn up or do I need to tell someone? What time does it start?

    Cheers
    Chris

Correct, you can just turn up. Main meeting on the Friday normally starts around 10.30AM.

Could someone either phone the hotel and tell them we have a meeting, or alternatively tell us what title it is booked under or the name of who booked the 35 rooms.

I tried to book, they can find no record of a meeting under UKW, UK Whitegoods, UKWTA Ken Watt or Bryan Williams for Fri 24th. He did find a reservation had been requested for 35 rooms?

I don’t suppose you have moved the venue? If not perhaps I spoke to a trainee?

    Hi Alex,

I’ve just rang the hotel, 35 rooms are reserved for the Thursday and Friday night under ‘FFR’ (Bryan).

Quote ‘AFFRS’ when you ring, for some reason, ‘AFFRS’ is the booking reference…

That’s the secret then. He told me there was a booking for AFFRS, but didn’t know who it was. Nor did I, but I pretended that was the group I was with. Phew as I could have been on some happy-clappy religous convention.

Will see all you bretheren on the day.

A bit of a bummer, this was one meeting I really did not want to miss, the wife has only gone and booked us a Med. cruise that doesn’t finish until Sunday 26th Sept.

    😥 ………………………….. 8)

I hope someone will be taking notes. 😉

I did already ask about video stuff Jim and so far, no volunteers.

So, the preferred option is to be there obviously but I’ll do what I can. And anyway, there’d be a lag between the meet and it being available online, no idea of timeframe as I’ve not had to do any video work that size for online delivery.

I’ll bring over a camcorder and tripod.

Flamin trainee’s room rate will be charged at £65 whatever happens there is 35 allocated to us.
